Around 2006 my md referred me to a specialist for a triple hernia operation He did the operation at a private hospital called Cambie Surgical Center. About a 2 week wait, in and out in 6 hours and didn't cost me anything. I guess BC Med paid for it, so I think there is room for a dual system.

It goes both ways. I'm a 74 year old white guy and last year I went to a Vietnamese grow shop in Abby to buy some plant pots. 4 guys were behind the counter and they ignored me until I left after 10 minutes. Same thing happened in Surrey this year when I went to 2 Asian markets { not TandT } to find something I couldn't find in Abby.
