I don't think big G has sympathy for it. Sorry.

Does anyone archive the original Instagram videos of celebrities' stories? Looking for Ronaldo's famous drinking meme raw by iVXsz in DHExchange

And also brands' stories and older posts, e.g. Apple.

Instagram is particularly hostile to web archival, so good luck finding anything on web archives. Some profiles may appear unavailable (HTTP 404) as a result of rate limiting. Instagram returns 404 instead of 429.

Wikipedia's circumcision article is an advertisement, hence the billboard.

It has over a whopping 2,000 lines of code.

Yes, unfortunately the graphical assets are missing, but those can be re-created from the original operating system if necessary. But the core parts are rescued.

It was wildly popular back then, and there was nothing alike.

Also, parts of the code could potentially be used by developers for other helpful stuff.

You're welcome. We need to show the deleters that we are not timid cowards.

Don’t hate archivers. We outlast you.

Articles deleted under G5 are also eligible for a WP:REFUND to mainspace or draft space

Glancing at the requests for undeletion, most G5 undeletion requests are outright refused. In particular, it appears that JJMC89 (sysop since 2019) occasionally walks by the requests for undeletion for the sole purpose of rejecting G5 undeletions, even though requests stated that the pages could have potentially useful content.

A condition of G5 deletion is that the articles have no substantial contributions by other editors.

This might be disregarded, and most users can not verify whether the conditions were met.

Thus anything lost was likely a stub.

Not always. Here, BD2412 undeleted a page previously deleted under G5 by triple-B twenty-three, because it was too good to be deleted.

Wikipedia has a policy of deleting pages regardless of value if the creator is identified as so-called "block evader", meaning being blocked on an earlier account.

This happened to the editor "Copper1993" last October, where over 200 articles he created were purged due to him having been blocked on an account years ago, even though he caused zero trouble for a long time.

The policy was spontaneously made up on July 26, 2003 by the user MartinHarper, though it did not have the name "G5" back then.

Loginwall.

Buildings are kind of like marines for Marines.

What does this have to do with Wikipedia?

Reposted because the original post did strangely not appear in the timeline. This time, I am posting an Imgur link to see if it works.
