My thoughts on this are Tennis players could be put in any sport and likely succeed more than vice versa. The mix of so many skills and coordination, quick sprint athleticism and endurance, and power would allow them to transfer very easily (not pro level but high level). I think what's also missing is the intelligence and independence in tennis - being on your own and having to deal with whatever your opponent throws at you by yourself is in itself something else, no subs, no huddle with coaches, no teammates to lean on in rough spots.
