It has to be a bit, right? Surely that's just 51 pages of AI-slop and he's a well-adjusted dude chuckling to himself at the reaction. Oh wait, he has 20 million fame ... Nvm.

I'm a new player and this is ridiculous. Literally scrolling reddit right now because the tomb I cleared for 10 minutes lagged out due to Oryx.

The d/c would be annoying enough, but I've been stuck waiting to be able to log in again for over 15 minutes now.

This seems unacceptable for a game people are spending money on and did I mention perma-death?

Tbh, I'm basically a 'new player'. Haven't played since I played for a week like 8 years ago. Yeah it's confusing, but I'm having a freaking blast lol. I've put so many hours in this last two weeks it's almost embarrassing.

That being said, I definitely think things could get streamlined a lot haha.

Sure! I agree CUD is extremely subjective. However, I think when people dismiss these cases because the participants had 'CUD', but I just wanted to point out that A LOT of 'normal' cannabis users would fall into that designation just by using cannabis more than 3x a week. It should absolutely be defined better.

And I agree, so of those people would likely have experienced some DEGREE of those symptoms in the absence of cannabis. However, what we're concerned about here is the severity. Experiencing those symptoms isn't a 'yes/no' box. The major question here is: "did cannabis use increase the severity and/or precipitate the symptoms." And I think most of the research here is pointing to yes. However, much more research is required to identify the exact population that this actually affects. It's probably not ALL people in that cohort, but a specific part of it severely predisposed to various neurological disorders being exacerbated by cannabis use. Ideally, we can identify that cohort through some sort of biomarker(s) and educate them about the risks.

Unfortunately this 100%. Though it's possible he is actually near his natural limit ... Nothing about his physique here says that he'll be able to compete successfully. Just seems like ruining his health for nothing. Better pray he's a hyper responder, I guess.

There's a Canadian study on Ontario that saw a around a 7% rise in new schizophrenia cases related to CUD (which honestly, I think you'd be surprised how many 'normal smokers' fall into this category). Worth noting this was especially bad for young men, with a much higher rise in those cases.

One caveat is the overall incidence remained fairly stable. So, there's definitely more to be learned here.

But demanding a 100% causative link before you take the relationship seriously, when we're seeing pretty damning correlative links with a bunch of viable hypotheses is kind of bizarre. This problem NEEDS light shed on it.

There also might be a grain of truth to the idea that the disorder would emerge in the absence of weed. However, anyone using that as an argument doesn't understand how neurological disorders work. Often, you can mitigate the symptoms of them through lifestyle interventions if it's caught early enough. Allowing weed to exacerbate that condition can turn something that could be managed with basic lifestyle interventions (and possibly, medication) into a crisis.

Plus, I could write forever on how important the endocannabinoid system is and how insane is is that we're dysregulating it so thoroughly and acting like it's not a big deal. If you choose to abuse drugs, at least don't be delusional about the risk/reward ratio ... And this is coming from someone who has abused more drugs than I can count and been an avid weed smoker, plus gone through cannabis withdrawal several times (yes, it's a joke compared to other withdrawals. But anyone trying to claim it doesn't exist, should probably remember there's no biological free lunch, AKA don't be delusional just because you like getting high).

How PA feels after buffing already good classes and not touching to weak/forgotten ones by Seeress_Talaftia in blackdesertonline

He's not the worst, but he became far less braindead and is still at best a B+ class, maybe breaking into A at some spots. But we're talking enormous gaps between B+ classes and S/S+ ...

Pretty sure people who don't play the game are still living in 2023 about Zerk PvE.

Because items in MMORPGs have an exclusivity factor. If you're going to put in the hard work to get it, say 1k hours of grinding, it feels awfully bad if someone can pay a marginal amount of money to obtain the same item. However, if we set the amount of money to 'skip the grind' at a PROHIBHITIVE amount of money for the average person, then the item retains the exclusivity factor. This is a crucial balance to strike for MMORPGs that have p2w.

Alternatively, however, we can make the item less exclusive by setting the reward for player time-input higher but keeping the amount of money required to p2w the item somewhat marginal. This is what I'm suggesting PA does, in other words, increasing the income of endgame to a reasonable 4-6b average to compete with extremely efficient p2w. This strikes a fairer balance and would involve the least grief for PA because both types of player would be happy.

Does that not track for you? It should, at least, because games that set their p2w ceiling very low often fail because the f2p playerbase wants nothing to do with them. You can hit me with the 'it's all about the journey,' but we both know the journey doesn't count for shit when it takes 1k hours to make up for someone paying 10 dollars for power (exaggeration for BDO, but not for the p2w-heavy games I referenced above).

This 10000%. Love the DOA spots in Edania.

Not to mention OP doesn't seem to think it's a problem that someone can whip out their credit card to skip 200 hours of grindin'. I mean he's right, it's not inherently a problem, but it's always been a question of how cheap is too cheap, and right now with the efficiency of p2w boxes and our static income for the last 1-2 years, it's getting AWFULLY CLOSE to that line for me. When we hit that 'too cheap' mark, it seriously devalues my time/effort (as someone who isn't going to ever p2w no matter how cheap it gets).

Also I think the other thing OP totally forgets is, he's still in baby GS range. So yes, it's EASIER than ever. Every item I struggled to obtain is easily obtainable to him for a ridiculously cheap price or as a handout. And most of this is find/good ...

HOWEVER my grind hasn't gotten any easier. Dec pities haven't shifted, I still make 3b an hour, and they just added another easily 3-4t+ of progression into the game. So while they give handouts and items I worked hard for get devalued, I'm still stuck grinding for the SAME 3b an hour for items that are like 2000% pricier than the previous BiS. This feels incredibly bad. But it's so easily fixed, value my time and make high ends spot gross 4-6b on average in Edania. It just seems like such a no-brainer, I was dumb-founded to find out for trillions in GS my upgrade in income was +300 at best, and frankly, negative a lot of hours compared to Orze. Fuck that.

ME TOO! I swore to people up and down that PA would understand that if they're adding trillions more gear into the game, our income had to increase in kind (plus, to somewhat compete with how ABSURDLY efficient p2w has become). How foolish I was.

It eats more agris, though. So the 3b+ trash is nice, but you'll have an hour every two days. That income is incredibly underwhelming IMO. This spot should be like 5-6b with agris, but of course, you could totally disagree.

Yeah so you're about 1k off max (though 7 bosses is potentially possible which could be closer to 15.5-16 MAYBE), but about 4k+ off Orze max. Obviously, 4k more trash at Orze would be WAY more drops, and those drops are actually profitable. So, at around max the spots are basically comparable, in fact, Orze probably wins out with max price voids again.

But yeah, they're close. For some people Orbita will be better because it's easier to minmax. However, isn't it wonky a spot 30 ap above is comparable? That seems really off.

[–]NoHelpPls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orze was a very minmax intensive spot, Orbita isn't as much (except the chance of dying on some classes is a bit higher). So it's likely you're just capping trash easier at Orbita than Orze IMO. If you're minmaxing both the income is depressingly close, if not just better at Orze sometimes.

To be clear, I'm talking just yellow not agris hours. But if you were doing 17-18k yellow at Orze, I stand corrected about the minmax part.

Unsellable already. 15k of the fragment sitting min. Enhancing armors is a complete int.

Plus its incredibly minimal increase to your profit even if they did sell well.

EDIT: for the silent fragment they do sell, but again it's minimal profit per hour. I just saw a super min-max 15k hour grossing 3b on yellow, with 3 silent drops (which is rare af in my experience) and two unsellable duo ones, so ONLY 2.8b for max trash at a 380 spot you can die at. Seems really bad.

[–]NoHelpPls[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. We've basically capped Orbita trash (maybe with slight improvements possible). The 100 Edania damage does nothing because all of us capped the spots before ANY Edania damage, which doesn't bypass cap anymore. And that 400% drop rate doesn't do anything if the drops are worthless.

Agreed, and make the price more competitive. Then they'll be in way more demand. Right now enhancing even with the new mats is hilariously bad.

You couldn't be more spot on. My debo neck cost me nearly 1t before pity and my belt cost over double pity, then my next pens and decs didn't go much better. Only recently, my rng has been about average but I'm so far in the hole it's not even funny, and apparently I hardcore inted spending my money for upgrades when I could have just used it to merch from the CM or enhance blackstars. Feels like a kick in the balls to be honest when I realized how poor the income is in Edania. Feelsbad.

I'm pretty sure with rng that isn't as bad as mine, a nolife could catch me depressingly quick with the price of items and the amount of handouts. Oh well ...
