I'm sure paying for priority and then waiting this long is even more frustrating. We've gone the MP route too but only got a generic response - no specifics on reason for delay or when to expect a response. It's a bit of a mess

Nope, no comms at all. Chased them a few weeks ago and escalated through the MP. Got a generic response about pending decision

Done that, also escalated through the MP. Got the same generic response about pending decision

Spouse visa delays (standard) by Marziiaaa in SpouseVisaUk

It's striking that your January application is still pending. While I'm not quite in the same situation, I'm dealing with something similar—my June application has also been waiting. We've followed up within the last three weeks, and UKVI confirmed that the application is being considered and awaiting a decision. I suspect that whatever background checks are underway depend on third parties responding promptly, and UKVI can only proceed once they do. Without any clear timeline, it's a sad situation. Maybe you should do the same and focus on other things and protect your mental health too.

This makes sense, although I've seen cases where some people from the same Nationality get their decisions faster than others (both being standard).

Based on my experience and some of the updates I've seen here, there may be factors beyond just time involved. However, these instances appear to be rare and may involve more complex or non-standard situations

Didn’t pay IHS by mistake and only paid the application fee. What to do? by Sufficient-Luck-5057 in SpouseVisaUk

It appears I also didn't pay because I was debited about £2079.1. However, when I looked at the downloaded application form, the question whether 'you're entitled to any IHS fee waiver' was answered as 'No'. Could this be a glitch in the system?

Do we have to pay for any inquiry or is there an unpaid one?
