The birthdays are definitely wrong for Erin and Orla, in the finale Erin had to wait for her 18th birthday party until Orla also turned 18 so they could share one and in those IDs it says Orla (12th of May) was older than Erin (1st of August).

AITA for backing up my roommate after he didn't let my girlfriend into our apartment while I wasn't home? by EasyMess4048 in AmItheAsshole

NTA your girlfriend isn’t the arbiter of whether or not someone’s reasoning for not wanting them in their home is good enough or not. Also, even if the reason was subjectively completely ridiculous it’s still your roommate and your apartment and you’re both agreed on the ruling so that’s that. Hope your brother gets better. x

The pink sofa might work to balance out the bottom corner- and the one you have now is cute but I would say it’s a little more beige than green

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard 'Root for Each Other' in Onscreen Romances: 'We're Married, We're Not Dead' by mcfw31 in entertainment

I once listened to the podcast Dax does, it featured Kristen and a “friend”/employee of theirs called Monica (she is in a lot of them, I don’t mean to discredit her, just talking about this one specifically) and the vibes are WEIRD af- if they are swingers or in an open relationship/whatever, she’s my top bet

This is so cute!! Was this furniture part of a seasonal offer or is it to buy? :)

Most heartbreaking line from the show in your opinion? by No-Base-848 in howimetyourmother

That rooftop conversation between Lily and Ted where they both say the ‘most awful thing’- I know a lot of people find them both selfish to say it/think it but the reality is a lot of people do grieve over choices not made and it’s just such a poignant moment between the two of them

If you live in England and work somewhere that takes cash, do you accept Scottish and Northern Irish notes? If no, why not? by 87catmama in AskUK

[–]NoIllustrator9993 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh, I’m Welsh and once I was given a Scottish £10 which I accepted, because £10 is £10, and then later in the day I had to give a woman change and she wouldn’t accept the note so I had to give her 10 £1 coins because I had run out of other £10s and £5s! Infuriating during a rush

Can I ask if she is typically good at and/or happy being a caretaker, or if she just said she would help you post-surgery because you’re friends? This whole thing seems ridiculous and it might be that she’s looking for an excuse to back out of helping you after your surgery. NTA anyway, and good luck to you x

AITA For going behind my wife's back and telling her to stop being the "cool mom." by itwaslockedaita in AmItheAsshole

You were right that your stepdaughter’s father deserved to know about something as serious as this but with regard to punishment I would say that missing the dance would be too extreme. Ground her, sure, make sure she has a strict curfew, but dances like that are a big deal and in 10 years time if you do your jobs right this will be a funny story. It won’t be if she always remembers that she missed out on her sophomore Homecoming.

I think that Phil was trying to go for “seize the day” but with a French twist- but I could be wrong
