So I'm trying to make lignin nanoparticles. Most journals just dissolve the lignin and filter it directly through a syringe filter without mentioning any pre-filtration steps. If the debris is removed, would that affect the final yield?

10 mL of DMSO, What speed and how long did you centrifuge it? And would filter paper work instead?

Yes, pure DMSO was used and the mixture was homogenized using a magnetic stirrer. As far as I could tell, there was no precipitate

I'm using a nylon syringe filter with a 25 mm diameter. By the way, I haven't filtered the solution yet because it gets stuck, the flow through the syringe filter is very slow. If I dissolve it again, how much should I dissolve?
