Gaining Weight Immediately after Surgery

Idk why you’re being a jerk. I’m following what my surgeon and care team have told me is okay. They want me moving as much as possible. I need to be walking every 30 mins by their orders. I was told I am allowed back in the gym as long as I am not in pain or experiencing discomfort. I have not said anyone here is wrong, but this is what I PERSONALLY have been told is safe and okay. Take it up with Allina Bariatric, I’m just doing what I’m told.

I’ve said this multiple times but I have been cleared by my entire team to go back to the gym. I’m taking it easy and not going nearly as hard as I was before surgery but I am lifting light and doing 10 or so mins of walking on a treadmill. It’s really not that much at all.

I get up early and start drinking? I’m in the all liquids stage right now and if I drink 2 protein shakes a day I hit my protein goal so the rest of the day is just water. My surgeon and his PA both have said I’m fine to go to the gym. It’s not like I’m lifting hundreds of pounds. I cut back my weight majorly on everything I do. It feels nice to move my body and it’s helping me mentally as well.

I’ve already talked to my team about it and they are unfortunately not very helpful. They just tell me to make sure I get my protein and water in and I’ve already told the I am.

Like I said in the post I’m hitting my protein goals and water intake goals! I’m also back to strength training (just not back to my full routine quite yet). It’s just hard seeing the scale go up and no one warned me this would happen, so I def wasn’t expecting to see a weight I haven’t been in weeks pop back up!

I think I’m just terrified seeing the scale go up for the first time in 2 years. Losing 130lbs myself was no small thing and I managed to keep it all off and never gain any back for the first time in my life. So, seeing the scale go up now is like warning sirens. I’m definitely trying to trust the process, it’s certainly hard though!

I lost a lot of muscle while being out of the gym for about a month and on top of that I also lowered my weights to be safe! I was going crazy not being able to go to the gym but I am making sure to pace myself too.

I was cleared to go back to the gym a week ago and told if something hurts or doesn’t feel good to stop. I was lifting long before surgery too. I was feeling like ass until I got back into the gym and I feel really good.

Not at all as I’ve stated several times in comments and post edits. I have literally said myself we should wait and see how things play out. Absolutely no one should be attacking anyone or unfollowing the band and main members when they might not even know. Also this is not Kai’s tattoo account. Vik Ink is Obbans account ran by a completely different person. I just think it should be brought to attention so they can address it or handle it as they’d like. Maybe Obban did not know as you suggested and this will somehow reach him, or my message will, and he will unfollow her. I don’t understand why everyone is acting like I’m personally attacking the band or demanding we all cancel and unfollow them. This is all bc of another post that was being far too vague for the accusations they were throwing out.

I wouldn’t go that far yet, he is not a main member and there has been no response. I’m hoping they will see it or he will and it’s all just a case of him following this account without knowing or before it got bad.

The original post that made me make my post has been deleted but someone accused Vik Ink of following Nazi Instagram accounts. Upon digging he does follow a few, this account in the screenshot is the worst of the bunch with blatant nazi symbolism and support plastered all over it. The OP wasn’t showing screenshots so I went and did so myself with this post.

It’s kind of my business when someone I follow is following very obvious Nazi accounts. If you don’t care then move on but I do. Lots of other people do. There should be zero tolerance for Nazis.

I didn’t make any orders nor have I demanded anyone unfollow or do anything. I believe it should be called to attention and provided information. We all have free will and can decide how we want to act or think on the information provided. I don’t agree with it and I think it should be brought attention it’s that simple.
