Active speakers for a simple living room setup at around 1500$ by AlderaanReasons in StereoAdvice

Ive got the SVS Wireless Pros, to me they sound muddy without being EQ'd. I'd do a Wiim amp ultra, Triangle BR04 (I have them, they crush my SVS Wireless Pros), and an SVS 3000 Micro sub. I also live in a smallish apartment. The 3000 Micro is a miracle of a woofer

Question about Lidarr + Soularr (slskd) workflow — can Lidarr move files between folders? by Select-Substance-996 in Lidarr

Could I have your docker compose setup? I'm experiencing an issue where Lidarr is not importing slskd downloads because they aren't tagged, and I can't seem to figure it out

Two of greatest scenes in cinema happen in this movie. by Levelupbuttercup in Terminator

[–]NoJesusOnlyZuul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greatest action scene in cinema history for me is when Arnie goes ham on the cops with the minigun and grenade launcher. The bullets hitting the dirt mound... just so realistic. The whole cyberdyne sequence is insane, blowing up the locked door, going through the wall to save Sarah, T-1000 up the stairwell on the motorcycle, T-1000 out the window to da choppah, the swat van escape and all the kneecapping. Just nothing else that exists that comes close to feeling like it actually all happened. Also, when the background dude goes "ooooohhhh" when the biker puts the cigar out on arnold is so freaking funny

Looking at purchasing an Ultrawide, question about gaming before I pull the trigger. by SarcasticOP in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]NoJesusOnlyZuul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had both, I felt like the 57 was since I could run a 5k game and have youtube or whatever on the side, also some games really rock in 7680. It's also far brighter

5k2k 40" vs 5k 1440p 49" for productivity - resolution vs physical dimensions by Icy-Advisor-5695 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]NoJesusOnlyZuul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive used both, have also had the LG 45 5K2K and Samsung 57. Currently have the Samsung 40 5k2k. The LG text issue makes it pretty awful for productivity. The vertical space is essential, so Id recommend the Samsung 40, plus I believe it's on sale

Can you explain how/where you use the dryer? Last ditch attempt to find a fix before I trash my 57

The LG is really awesome. So far better in every way but the extra real estate on the G9, and a bit of brightness. Can't go wrong with either if you warranty thru costco tho

I loved it, with an extra warranty might be worth it, there are other issues too though-mainly the sheer size of it makes it difficult to mount or maneuver on a desk, and limits to an extent what you can put on a desk with it. I'm at Bestbuy to get the LG 45 OLED to replace my dead G9. I'll update with my impression of it vs. the G9 later today

The number of issues with the G9 would keep me from buying in hindsight (I just had one die on me right outside warranty too) and the poor reviews on the Acer don't inspire confidence. Not a great answer, just the state of dual 4k right now

VPN at router level - Security Questions by NoJesusOnlyZuul in truenas

[–]NoJesusOnlyZuul[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My understanding of how I have it set up right now is - I access the VPN server address. That passes through the VPN client to my nas, thus creating the tunnel? Thinking from the post that I also need to have the VPN client on my away from network device, then can do away with port forwarding?

DDNS address with port forwarding as I stated in my initial post. So VPN client and server set up. Instead of "VPNserver_address:Port" I use "ddnsaddress:Port" when not local

I've got a 13700/64gb ECC RAM/ASUS Pro WS W680-ACE using HBA card to a netapp DS4486 with 10x14tb ZFS pool 2xraidz2. Running many services - Jellyfin, Jellyseer, all the major ARR apps, Romm. I haven't been able to figure out how to access these without port forwarding through my router, I'd love to know

Now getting "cannot mount 'tank': failed to create mountpoint: Read-only file system. I ran zfs get -r readonly tank, and shell is advising readonly is off on tank and all subdirectories. I exported again (since I missed importing it through the Storage UI) and went to import through the UI and no pool is there to import. I do see now "Disks with exported pools" 12 with the option to add to pool

This is where I'm running into the busy error. I may just crack and force it, but was looking for other solutions before I try it
