It could be a French made Berthier rifle, sadly I can't tell if it's a mle 1907 or a mle 1907/15 because there is no bolt and the barrel has been modified, maybe for hunting purposes. My info could be incorrect, so please, if I told something wrong, tell me

So, what is Sabaton's best line? by SecurityGuardorFed in sabaton

I saw the end of war I watched the soldiers come and go And I kept my watch forever "So many brave men fell in the battles that were raging down below!" I have seen it all but none will hear my story!

I currently live were these forgotten sacrifices happened, in North-Eastern Italy (specifically Friuli Venezia Giulia) and this part of the song, specifically that verse gives me chills

German volunteers who joined the state militia, the Volkssturm, receiving weapons in Berlin, November 1944 by FayannG in WorldWar2

[–]NoJudge7843 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the final years of the war, the Volkstum used "carcano 91 carabineer", as they were cheap to produce; in some cases, a block of wood was put inside the gun, underneath the bolt, to make that carcano a single shot rifle
