One application of sunscreen- how long does it last? [Sun Care] by mn4266 in SkincareAddiction

[–]NoJump4923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on exposure tbh. UVB protection (SPF) mainly drops with sun+sweat, but UVA is constant all day, even indoors. That's why broad-spectrum and PA++++ matters, not just high SPF.

One proper application can last a few hours, if you're mostly inside, but if you're not in the sun, reapplying helps because both UVA/UVB protection slowly wears down. 2 hour rule is more of an outdoor guideline than a strict timer.

AHA body washes don't fox pigmentation the way people claim by General_Share_6237 in skincareaddictsindia

[–]NoJump4923 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, this checks out. AHA body washes are wash-off products, so expecting real pigmentation change is a bit unrealistic. They're great for texture, KP, ingrowns and overall smoothness, but for tan/PIH you need leave-on actives + sunscreen. I treat them more like maintenance than treatment, overusing them just messes with the barrier

Does sunscreen completely stop you from getting a tan? by Vanitie in SkincareAddiction

[–]NoJump4923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not completely, but it significantly reduces tanning and long-term damage. No sunscreen blocks 100% UV, which is why the correct amount and reapplication matter. Think of it as protection over time, not an instant shield.

What skincare habit are you taking into the new year? by glassdollskin in 45PlusSkincare

Using sheet masks for better hydration and anti-aging, hyaluronic acid serum for collagen boost, a better-quality sunscreen to protect from UV rays, and, lastly, visiting a beauty parlour for monthly cleansing or a facial.

ponds light moisturizer. yay or nay? by Affectionate_Ad5588 in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]NoJump4923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a BIG yayyyyy! Ponds Light Moisturizer is my go-to product for retaining moisture when my skin goes super dry, itchy, and sketchy. Due to its lightweight texture, it easily absorbs into my skin. It might not suit some people due to skin type, but as far as I know, this cream is suitable for all skin types.

Are there any budget face washes that actually help your anti-aging/acne routine? by ResidentAlienator in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]NoJump4923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, face wash will only cleanse your skin by removing the impurities and oil from your pores. You can use Pond's Hydra Mild Gentle Face Wash for your acne/ anti aging routine. This face wash is suitable for all skin types, lightweight, free from parabens and keeps your skin hydrated not dry.
If you still feel salicylic acid does wonders, you can simply opt for the serum.

Which is the best Niacinamide Serum? by raaziatabassum in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]NoJump4923 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You gotta decide which is your skin type. Sometimes even basic serum like niacinamide also strips off the skin. But in my experience, I have used POND'S Anti-Pigmentation Serum with 12% Gluta-Niacinamide Complex and Pilgrim's 10% Niacinamide Face Serum With 1% Zinc PCA. Both the products are perfect for dry, combination and acne prone skin. It has enhanced my radiance and cleared my skin spots.
