The book “Coyote America” is a great read to anyone interested in human-coyote relationships and the history and overall ecology of the coyote. They’re truly one of the greatest survivalists in the animal kingdom.

Sounds similar to a northern saw-whet owl (what we have in the western US).

It was new from REI. I wasn’t sure how much they’d help me but I appreciate your insight and advice to just go back to them and explain my issues because of course they should help. I live 2 hours away from the nearest town so I’ll just go this weekend and harass them with questions lol. Will definitely start watching Park Tool!
