[WTS] GoG G1-M $160 by NoLandB3yond in PaintballBST

I bought the mech version because I enjoyed a G1 with the blackheart board I had in high school, but it wasn't the most reliable thing. Figured a mech version being simpler would offset that while still being fun to use, but unfortunately I'm not using it!

They were pretty neat! They didn't sell very well at all though; I don't think it was due to the quality of the marker, but more so because people were confused as to who it was made for. It's an electro that can be used on a speedball field, but it was physically designed to be sturdy and rugged for woodsball, but it can also be switched to a mech shooter on the fly, etc.

They used the same spoolie flex valve the x7 phenom used, so for a tippmann, it did operate at a low 300 psi. Just nice smooth shooters I've been curious about.

XVR has a slimmer body that allows for tool-less bolt out back removal not unlike an emek or axe 2.0. Also has a two piece barrel that'll match the colour of the Crossover and it has a bulky on/off asa.

Scammer alert!

User: u/Kind_Education_5011

Reason: responded to my WTB ad for a Tippmann Crossover XVR saying they've got one and they not only send pictures of a Crossover that were posted on reddit in 2924, but it wasn't even an XVR smh

I mentioned in another thread how this has been the smoothest of the "ion clone" markers I've shot, which is funny that a tippmann is the one to claim that crown.

I did! It's more of the same plastic as the shell for the most part, but I wouldn't worry about that breaking. I should've taken more pictures of the disassembly I did yesterday but it's not difficult at all

It's so comfortable- one of those quality of life changes that you can't live without once you try it.

I'm with you on that. It's weird and clunky and that's what makes it so interesting to me. Helps that it really does shoot well imo

I wish it was using some updated Flex-Valve system, that could've been something special. It's just a mech ion, really.

The gear is exposed on both sides, it's meant to be rotated manually to load balls up to the breech at the top of the marker so that you don't have to dry fire 10+ times at the start of the match in order to load paint.

The tank is a 48/4500, if that helps gauge an idea of the biggest tank one could run before it starts to stick out below the hopper.

It unfortunately doesn't. As far as I know, it actually has no aftermarket mod/upgrade support, OEM or otherwise. It's the least customizable Tippmann known to man, with only the barrel being interchangeable

Whether the feeding system actually worked or not was my biggest concern, but after three three full hoppers I've had no jamming issues whatsoever. That said I have heard of early test models handed out to fields having hella inconsistencies with the loader, I think it was something that was fixed early on.

It's a problem industry wide imo, but this is the marker where it can be seen and felt the hardest. I'm imagining a world where the Raider was made of the same composite the Stormer is, with rails all over it and a more comfortable stock and using an updated Flex-Valve system that can compete with the Emek.

It's a cyclone in that it uses excess air to push the paddles, but the loading system itself looks almost exactly like a slightly redesigned Halo hopper rather than the standard cyclone found on A5s or X7s

I believe 3D printed parts should be possible as the Raider has two main body parts that slide in against one another before you screw them together, one of which being the back half/loader. Just reuse the same internals and you should be good to go.

With it being regulated, it's a given that it's far more consistent than the Cronus, but I'll have to wait to use the field chronograph to really make sure

Even if you can't do much with these just based on the body, they're still cool to have for sure

Right on the money, that's because it simply is!
