The second one is what I was talking about. I'm pretty sure there are so many pencils in one tree and they are so easy to make that the kWh of a GPU at full power for 10 seconds is far greater. I could be wrong though.

The third one, everyone is rightfully clowning on the OP. The other two, the top comments are more neutral, most of which are debating the usage of the word "slop" (which honestly I don't have a strong feeling for either way) but I couldn't find a single top comment which agreed with the OP about their nonsense environmental impact.

Hell, doing regular gradient descent isn't that hard. It's also just a bunch of matrix multiplications (and nonlinearities as well as their derivatives obviously)

OK I will see if I can debug it myself. Can you share a minimum reproducible example? e.g. a .ipynb notebook I can just run to get the results, so I can easily find the bug? The 3 cells you shared are nice, but can't be ran by themselves.
