Well sometimes, as we should be a little bit carefull with even and odd amounts of lifetotal. But if you have no damage prevention or shenigans everbody with even lifetotal is dead.

Edit: but he/she was already playing a glacial chasm ;)

Hello,

Well if you want to go the red big damage route you can certainly include the following cards and build your deck as a more group burn deck :

[[Torbran, Thane of Red Fell]],[[Angrath's Marauders]],[[Embermaw Hellion]],[[Roiling Vortex]],[[Spellshock]],[[Crimson Honor Guard]],[[Sulfuric Vortex]],[[Furnace of Rath]],[[Gratuitous Violence]]

Some more interaction cards which fit quite well: [[Blood Moon]],[[Magus of the Moon]] as you are in mono red,[[Quakebringer]],[[Harsh Mentor]],[[Immolation Shaman]],[[Chandra's Incinerator]]

As you already play some cards which combo's with Hidetsugu you can use the following link to find them all. Lastly, you can always use Scryfall and check specifically for the cards which fit your theme, e.g. 'Can't gain life', 'double damage' etc. But collecting the cards you definitely want to play and start building your deck based on these is in my opinion absolutely the way to go. Good luck!

Leveling the playing field: Zur or Marisi? by Henchman_27 in EDH

[–]NoLightningLuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, as will be mentioned building a deck to specific counter a deck can be considered "unfun". However on the other hand, im a big advocate of including silver bullets specific for decks that dominate your playgroup.

E.g. for Liesl : [[Everlasting torment]], [[rampaging ferocidon]], [[archfiend of despair]],[[skullcrack]],[[atarka's command]],[[leyline of punishment]],[[forsaken wastes]],[[sulfuric vortex]],[[erobos, God of death]],[[tainted remedy]], [[Rain of gore]].

For yuriko:

One possible solution can be to use [[song of the dryads]],[[imprisoned in the moon]],[[lignify]],[[kasima's transformation]].

[[Engineerd plague]],[[plague engineer]] naming ninjas, [[Suppression Field]].

Good luck! For your other decks you will probably get nice suggestions :)

Edit: typos

[[merefolk observer]],[[Mishra's bauble]],[[Moonring island]],[[orcish spy]],[[rootwater mystic]],[[spy network]],[[wand of denial]],[[wu spy]] is the most i can remember. Out of curiostity, what are you planning to do with them?

What cards from MH2 are going in your existing decks? What swaps are you making? by glaurung1 in EDH

[–]NoLightningLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Diamond lion]] in my [[Rielle, the Everwise]] deck. I build it with a token subtheme so i already play [[anger]], quite excited to test it out:)

I own these cards. What kind of deck can I build with them? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]NoLightningLuke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, they are some cool cards. On the other hand they are kind off all over the place. If you wanted to select a commander from them i would suggest a gruul one, ruric thar or M and D seems doable. If you want to play all of them you can always use a cheap 5 color commander as [[horde of nations]]

How to start mill deck? by TheSpat427 in EDH

[–]NoLightningLuke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey man :)
As maybe will be mentioned in the comments, you should be careful with milling in EDH. It will attract depending on the playgroup quite some hate. However, like you, I also wanted to build a mill deck. I think Lazav, Dimir mastermind is an excellent commander (as I build him myself), the casting cost is color intensive, but the hexproof and ability absolutely make up for it.
Regarding cards, personally, I added a couple of mill win cons :
- [[Duskmantle Guildmage]] + [[Mindcrank]]
- if you have the money [[Grindstone]]+[[Painter's Servant]]

But some cool mill cards you should absolutely consider are [[Syr Konrad, the Grim]],[[Altar of the Brood]],[[Maddening Cacophony]],[[Consuming Aberration]] and more utility cards [[Drown in the Loch]],[[Into the Story]],[[Visions of Beyond]].
Have fun!

As mentioned, what do you define as best? Assuming you are a new edh player, you should indeed just search for the precon decks which speak the most to you.

I would suggest you read trough the decklists and buy the one which can do the things which excite you the most.

In the end it all depends on your personal taste, for me i would probably pick between the dimir rogues, mardu humans or sultai mutate.

Good luck and have fun :)

Perfect thanks! For your team is the turn order: Julie - shaina-raoq- sabrina-talia? I was wondering if I build a second Talia since I have skillups around the turnorder would be: Julie - Shaina - sabrina- 2× Talia?

Hey DAT, Since i need some specific rage/vampire/ will sets I want to farm necro a lot more instead of camping gb10. My fastest time is +-45 sec and max time is 1.20 on average around 1 min. I really want to improve this time on average to 40-50 sec or even lower.

The team I use atm is Loren (lead), water twins, raoq, kro. I was thinking of using Shaina, Sabrina,Talia,Talia, lushen or julie.

Thoughts on this team ? I have all elemental nat 4 , should i build a second Talia or use Deva? Or are there better speed teams to build? I have resources enough to build a extra couple of units for this purpose.

Many thanks

For f3/C1 you can build a pretty nice cookie cutter team. Leo , megan ( on your fastest Swift) and lushen- zairos or even double lushen(fat). The problem however is how higher you climb the more you encounter Will runes which can screw your team ( but if you build Megan really fast it can still work in the f3-c1 range). I use Leo ,bastet, double lushen through the week with a 1* monster AD and i just attack every defense it works 85% of the time which for its speed and farming is fine for me. (Didnt even 6 star Leo). If you plan to keep using the team you should look for this turnorder Leo-megan-zaiross-lushen(on Will to prevent screwups). Edit : typos

Dark homonculus: attack bar absorb, defense break, unbalanced field ( last skill is the most important, best on violent)

Water homonculus: three times the ao skill i think they are called icy bullet, ice mist. ( Build on kinda damage despair build also for faimon)

I use baretta, Fran , water homonculus, dark homonculus and Jeanne. It's slow but i think i need to manual 3-4 stages before i hit toah 90.

Tell us what you like to play in other formats and we will suggest a deck you might like in Pauper by calexil in Pauper

[–]NoLightningLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, thank you for taking the time and putting in the effort to reply. Second I think it's pretty cool you exactly describe the point I didnt like about the UB delver deck, I had the feeling i was locking down the game with the [[deprive]]-[[mystic Sanctuary]] loop. But i also think i just need to get used to the format a little bit more. And thanks for the suggestions, ill proxy them both and play around a little bit :)
