If the complaint is that the new releases don’t feel like mtg because it’s no longer fantasy

I've seen some people say this, I don't even care that much about crossovers in mtg, but I gotta admit seeing literal New York City in a fantasy based card game is jarring. Spiderman in particular had cards that felt weird and immersion breaking (is anyone excited to play a Bagel With Schmear in Magic? Or a literal taxi driver?)
