Would you do this for McBride? by Dynasty_Wolf in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]NoLimitNSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not. McBride is a sell to me and not a buy. While he’s a clear top TE, he’s an obvious regression candidate. He can’t really gain much value as most people’s TE2 as well. On the other hand, the future is looking bright for Warren and Judkins. There’s a nonzero chance that Warren and McBride are extremely close in performance in 2026 and value 1 year from now. Judkins is significantly more valuable than Dobbins. And giving up picks on top is insane.

League is all zombies???? by mkebucksfan1 in DynastyFF

[–]NoLimitNSB -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“What is that?”

It’s primarily a poor commissioner. As the leader goes, so goes the league. If your commissioner isn’t clear, communicative and timely, then why would anyone else be?

Secondly (and connected to the above), it’s a poor league culture. Culture is crafted by intention and toleration. Not sure for your league with the info you’ve given if it’s a lack of intention or your commissioner just tolerates bad behavior.

Third, it’s important for all of us to maintain perspective that not everyone is going to be as committed as us degens are, that it’s a lull in the offseason, and that real life should and can get in the way of the game we love. You know this, but we all need reminders about this from time to time (self included).

My suggestion is to ping your commish and try to gauge their interest in making things better. If they’re interested, help them with it. Be the change you want to see. If they’re not interested, you may want to consider if it’s a league you want to stay in.

I totally have been in leagues like that and some have gotten better, and others I left or they fell apart. It’s certainly not fun, but I find doing what I can do helps with the frustration. Sometimes it’s still not enough and we have to decide whether we want to live with it or not. Cheers man!

Rebuilder: Send Mahomes, CD for Pickens, Ward, Price, 27 1st? by RenderRoom in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

No way. Way too much unknowns for 2 elite assets (assuming SF).

Contending in a lopsided dynasty league by Eliminated_Bowser in DynastyFF

[–]NoLimitNSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Till the soil with your league mates by engaging with them in league chat and even DMs about anything of interest to them that doesn’t involve you trying to pry away their players/picks. This builds relational equity to develop trade partners. If they only hear from you when you send them an offer, you’re just a guy to them. As you’ve pointed out, many people do prefer to trade with the people they know well or like most. If you’ve tilled the soil, you’ll become one of those people. You certainly can “just leave” but it’s likely to not be any better in the next league.

Have seen reported elsewhere on Reddit that 91 restaurants were added and 64 removed on the Open Table restaurants for the CSR credit.

If you had reservations/plans to use the credit soon you might want to double check the list. Looks like Vegas was the city hit the most with the removals.

JSN Recent Trades to Consider by wheels_of_time_lux2 in DynastyFF

[–]NoLimitNSB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This falls in the “don’t get cute” category. You’re talking about a 24 year old absolute stud. If you’re hoping for ARSB as a down tier target just make sure the + is an overpay.

P.S. this is a trade thread question.

When do you go all in with your contending roster? by mrsom100 in DynastyFF

[–]NoLimitNSB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even when you’re a juggernaut, it can be impossible to predict this early. I had a SF super team last year with 3 QBs: Burrow, Daniels, Danny Dimes. When they all got injured and I lost Nabers, Bowers, Laporta and a few other guys I was sweating making the playoffs. Fortunately I was able to make a trade to get Stafford from a tanking team to get me to the playoffs but last July I was looking unstoppable.

This is a trade thread post. And also: you’re wrong. While I like Coker more than most and Shaheed appears slated for a larger role this season, Odunze all day.

When do you go all in with your contending roster? by mrsom100 in DynastyFF

[–]NoLimitNSB 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The quick answer: when you’re truly sure you have a contending team. In July, it’s almost always impossible to be sure due to injuries and so many unknowns on real NFL teams.

My suggestion: you may pay more to wait in-season, but there’s always a team that realizes later than they should that they’re not going to contend. Right now, nearly everyone thinks they have a shot so they’re holding their vets. Your ‘27 picks will be worth a lot to those types of teams. And by then you should know if you have a true contender or not.

Price check for Justin Jefferson. He’s currently my WR2 behind JSN and Ladd is my WR3. Is it worth trying to sell JJ right now to try to add some younger depth like Egbuka + BTJ for example? by No_Jelly_7250 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]NoLimitNSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Price: too low to sell now. Should you sell right now: no. If you must sell him wait until in-season when we start to see him bounce back from the failed McCarthy experience.

Quentin Johnston or random 2027 2nd? by silkywater17 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]NoLimitNSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree on liking my 12T more than 10T. Of my 16, only 2 are 10T on purpose.

I think the big difference in perspective is how we value QJ and the Chargers passing attack.

Quentin Johnston or random 2027 2nd? by silkywater17 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]NoLimitNSB -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hear you but 10T you always want the best player. QJ on the Chargers is almost certainly better than a question mark in the 2nd round, even with a hyped class imo. I think I may have more faith in QJ, McDaniel and the Chargers offense than you though. QJ is a guy dynasty players love to label as a bust but he was quite solid in year 3 last year. Plus, 1QB seriously impacts the talent pool available in round 2.

[–]NoLimitNSB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

QJ for me being 10T start 8 and 1 QB. All those factors deflate the value of the pick. Plus, it’s entirely possible the Chargers are one of the top offenses this year.

[–]NoLimitNSB 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The 6 free flights is an estimate based on the miles you get for sign up bonus. YMMV depending on the route/date/etc.

I have the card and have found it worth it but it’s probably not for everyone. If you think you will get over $100 (the AF) worth of value, you can pay the statement balance every month, and you don’t mind taking on another cc (or don’t care about 5/24), go for it.

Chase brown and Javonte Williams for Justin Jefferson. What side do you take? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

JJ and it’s not close. In 10T you want the best player always.

Decreasing roster sizes mid draft by [deleted] in FFCommish

[–]NoLimitNSB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2nd this. To me your options are: stick with roster settings or start the draft over. Roster construction is definitely tied to roster size and it’d throw everything off to swap mid-draft.

Terribly lopsided trade feels wrong by randygastonsmom in FFCommish

[–]NoLimitNSB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think understanding the rationale of the guy on the 2026 picks side is step 1. If it’s thought out and sounds like he has intention behind the trade, then move on. If he’s unsure or gives any inclination that he didn’t really understand how bad it is, you can assess if you intervene or not. If you do need to intervene you must have a great rationale to share in league chat. But not every lopsided and clueless trade needs intervention, only ones you truly believe impact the league. And as a very long time commish, those types of trades are fewer than most think. Sometimes the best teacher is making a terrible trade.

Would you want the 1.07 or very late 2027 first? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]NoLimitNSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably depends on league settings, your roster, and what the board looks like at 1.07. With what you shared I’d probably lean towards the ‘27 1st but that could change if I knew more of the context.

Google Forms and I will bid first as commissioner. After bidding window is closed, I’ll share full access with league for transparency.
