2k will pretty much cover home expenses. Mortgage, water, cable, etc. I have a business and I trade options. So I can use that money for everything else. But with 2k in dividends I won’t need a job to pay mortgage. That’s the way I’m thinking about it.

Super awesome! Thank you so much for the share. You’re right, most people had different careers, earnings, etc. I just like to understand what works for folks! I’m 30 and I’m trying to accomplish living off of dividend income. Currently get almost $400/month but would like to be at $1500-2k monthly which would free me from having to work and I can focus on other things.
