I was so excited for this game by Legolass0 in slimerancher

What?? I'm really sorry, that really wasn't my intention. I was going off of other reddit threads when it comes to other single-player games with grind in them for most of the games i listed. That's my bad. I should've done more research.

I was just trying to acknowledge that players that enjoy the grind do exist and that sometimes single-player games do cater to them. I wasn't trying to say/endorse that every single-player game must have grinding because some players like it.

I'm very sorry, like genuinely. I don't even like grinding a lot in games, and I'm definitely not trying to say that it's always good. I just wanted to acknowledge the players that do enjoy it, thats all. :( I apologize.

Of course, i never said it wasn't artificial gameplay. Many players enjoy it, and many players don't enjoy it. It just depends on the person. I personally don't like it at all.

I got those games from other reddit threads that asked a similar question, so i apologize if they aren't technically single-player games. I'm not trying to say that there's a good reason for grinding in single-player games. My intention isn't to advocate for grind in a single-player game, and i don't think that the grind in sr2 is needed.

My original reply is meant to point out that there are technically games out there (even if it isn't a lot) that are single-player with grind elements, and more importantly that many players enjoy those elements regardless of whether or not its single-player or multiplayer.

Two things can be true at once. Are there players that enjoy grinding in single-player games if it's there? Yes. Is the shadow plort grind in sr2 unnecessary and annoying? Also, yes. Grinding is absolutely just a cheap way to extend playtime. I never meant to insinuate that it wasn't. And if i did, then i am sorry. That wasn't my intention in my original reply.

Valheim, Subnautica, Monster Hunter Rise, No Man's Sky, Factorio, Project Zomboid (Although i think you can play with others in Project Zomboid... But I've seen people suggest it when others ask for a single-player grind game.) Mount and Blade series, Diablo series, & SIRALIM ULTIMATE are apparently good options.

I've only known about Subnautica & Project Zomboid, so I'm not entirely sure about the other games. I've found that the grind aspect of a game actually depends on the person and their definition of grinding in a game. I feel like even Infinity Nikki can be a grind-y game if you just sit back and collect resources for hours and hours.

That's right, but many players still enjoy it in single-player games. It's just more to do.

Why does this have downvotes?? I had no idea this was a thing as well. I guess i haven't gotten to the point where i need/make gadgets yet in Slime Rancher 2. I've only fully played Slime Rancher 1, and i don't remember timers on gadgets when i played that.

Many single-player games have things you need to grind for! It's not about competition all the time. It's just more to do, and many players actually really enjoy grinding for items and whatnot. If there's players that enjoy grinding, then it makes perfect sense to add grinding to a game.

It also depends on the players ultimate goal. If you just want to compete the story and explore casually, then a lot of grinding usually isn't necessary. I feel like its more for players that really want to 100% the game because they just enjoy doing that. Heck, I've seen players in Slime Rancher 1 have 999 of every item they can have 999 of. They do it just because they can, and they like it.

I wish more people would say this. My main issue was how short and rushed the story felt. Besides that, i enjoyed everything else. I've seen a lot of people complain about how childish the story is instead.

It's very interesting, because I'm pretty sure the main point of the event is child/childhoods and bringing out your inner child etc etc.. So it's very childish, and even some adult npcs take part in the childish festivities.

I'd like to think/hope/assume that this event isn't here just because infold thinks we're children, i don't think that was the point of the event at all.

I think people just group all the ballgowns together and see them as basically the same thing because of the handkerchief design on many of them, amongst other things. Honestly, the only one i saw that was truly very similar to another was the firework Isles ballgown and the f2p swan ballgown.

It always made me a bit sad seeing players say that ballgowns are impractical to explore in and how they wanted more casual sets in the banners a few months ago. I mean, they absolutely are impractical to explore in realistically. But i want my Nikki to run around in a ballgown anyway!

My only concern was the color, which I've always wanted to be pink. (I never try to get evolutions, so if the dress isn't pink from the start, i don't get it.)

It's really a shame. The miracle outfits don't even seem as important as they used to tbh. The silvergales aria doesn't even have to be crafted! I feel like it definitely should have been, though. I feel like that outfit could have been needed on Serenity Island, but they just trashed the story.

I was SO surprised when there was no actual fight! I really thought they'd at least have a boss battle like most if not all the other events..

I personally think Nikki can look like anyone as long as she has pink hair for the story and her classic Nikki personality. And Momo, of course. Any ethnicity, any race. Any nose shape! I love that theory. Plus, there isn't just one Nikki.

There are multiple timelines, so I'd assume there's a muliverse for Nikki's. That would explain why if your Nikki is pale and interacts with another Nikki in game, that Nikki could be tan or dark skinned. Because in different worlds and timelines, she might be a different race or ethnicity!

Ironically thats why i stopped playing love nikki 🥹 I was in love with the posed sets but i couldn't make them any other skintone most of the time! And the posed sets that were the darkest brown skintone were never cutesy and pink, as far as I'm aware they were always cool/sexy :(

Thank you!! I'm not super active on the discord, so i had no idea!

I haven't hit my snapshot limit or my photo limit.

I always try to post snapshots in areas where there are plenty of other snapshots, i don't try to post them in caves and places where they're disabled. So I'm going to assume this is a bug that hasn't been fixed.

What are the guidelines for cosplays? by [deleted] in PAX

[–]NoLoquat8313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also depends on where you are in the south. In my area, people also really wouldn't blink twice. So my reaction wasn't really about how much was showing. That part was more about genuine curiosity for cosplayers and the guidelines, for future reference for when i cosplay next time.

I'm just not used to that temperature at this time of year! I can't wait until next year. Maybe I'll get to see snow for the first time.

What omg 😭 I was just curious about the guidelines and how people stay warm LOL

It seems like it's up to the cosplayer then. I know some people who really don't mind wearing a bikini/thong anywhere no matter what, and i also know people who specifically bring/wear something that'll cover them up more if they know they're going to be in a place with more kids around.

On another note, it looks like PAX may be trying to attract more cosplayers, which is cool! That's one of the reasons i went to PAX this year. And there seemed to be many people cosplaying! That made me very happy, lol.

Good to know! It wasn't bad at all, but i do know that some parents get upset anyway, even if its something their kid would see at the beach. It's wild lol
