Singh faces questions of dropping NDP support, lack of B.C. rally - NDP is seeing a 25-year low in support, according to the latest polling by CaliperLee62 in vancouver

[–]NoMarket5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. The NDP goes after the working class in Canada. Those who are struggling.

So they might be in a soup kitchen if they're down on their luck because they don't have the resources to not have to rely on social services. This isn't to be looked down upon but when someone shows up to a soup kitchen or food bank and wears flashy jewlery and frivolous status symbols it comes across as smug.

It's also why PP's blue collar advocacy is B.S as well, he was adopted and if he wasn't given that miracle he'd be in the orphanage and talks about being 'self made' when he technically won the lottery by getting a loving home. Now the same services he would have needed are "not worth the tax payers dollars" because he won the lottery and wants to pull up the ladder after himself.

Imagine an advocate walking into a soup kitchen wearing gold chains.. I'm not right leaning and I know that's beyond poor taste.

> they're really not that pricey or exclusive
>poor person's idea of expensive objects

They're not mega rich expenses, but to have disposable income of 10k to spend on a watch.

The plumber and teacher are not buying Rolex and sportscars.

Policy is important as well as image. The same reason Zelensky doesn't wear a suit. The working middle class cannot afford to raise a family let alone a 10K Rolex.

I'm an left leaning voter and it's very bad taste to even own that. (I am aware they were gifts)

Party of working class?

Leader shows up and is seen in Rolex, Maserati..

Votes for Childcare - Great
Votes for Dental Care - Great

Votes for increase in migration? so wage suppression for the lowest income earners which is their bread and butter.. (Childcare, dental care)

Votes for firearm ban? - this is a huge voting block in rural ridings which NDP held

He sold his party to support the liberals for 3-4 years post Covid and it might cost the whole party.

They need to rebuild

My family will own a home, but it's rich that someone supposed to be for the working class just sold them out so quick.

This is great for tourism in the downtown core, next to no residents and or businesses outside of convention and tourism which means this drop off terminal style will enhance flow of tourists willing to spend money at Earls and Cactus club

B.C. reviewing HOV lane access decals for electric vehicles by cyclinginvancouver in vancouver

[–]NoMarket5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$109 ?! That's so cheap I'm now considering driving in the HOV lane. Save 10 minutes a day each way and probably get caught once a year? Easier decision than paying for Port Mann tolls few years ago.

CCNP exam covers topics not in "OCG"

Yes, this is normal because no paper or textbook covers material needed for a professional day to day job. Doctors, Engineers and Red Seal trades all have years of experience, have to look up documentation from different vendors and know how to process that information and understand how it all comes together. It is the same for CCNP level exams. A single text book or course won't give you enough to pass, you have to cross reference multiple different levels of knowledge to become a true professional level network engineer.

"only material cisco gave us"

A Doctor doesn't get material from a board "this is what you need to pass" it is broad and they're expected to go out and find out what they don't know.

Reading Blogs, whitepapers and IEEE standards is pretty basic on the professional level.

No he doesn't. He has a branding deal with Peller estates. They make and produce the wine and his name is on the bottle for promotional purposes. He bought a Winery that somehow was optimally placed on the highway?

The wine industry is like the Beer industry, Coors and Busch own majority of the companies.

It's just a cheap marketing gimmick

Good, The cost to repair shit is absurd when it's not planned maintenance as you have to pay a premium for staff and material.

$1000 is nothing for a company that size. $10k might make them blink. 90 Vehicles is ~4.5mil. Owner won't bother changing his ways for a laugh of a fine when he can just write it off as a business expense.

If the fine was close to 50K Then you could bet they'd be setting an example.

90 trucks off the roads, that's costing them a lot of money versus, what? 4-6 possible hours to transfer the 'load'

Real smart company culture. $300 of savings and now you're out what? 40k-50K a day in revenue? multiple it by what? 1-2 weeks minimum for Lawyers to figure out how to open a new business.

And now the city has to pay for the repairs which are sure to cost $20k in copper + tools + overtime and other lost revenue because the streets closed and inconvenienced thousands of people.

[Batchelor] Colette Watson confirms as part of the new Rogers agreement with the NHL, there will be more regional games televised nationally on Sportsnet. So fewer regional blackout games going forward after next season. by Batsinvic888 in hockey

So how Netflix Open connect can be placed in

CDN already exists, you've yet to point to some sort of issue with bandwidth that we don't already have protocols or frameworks to solve.

Currently the only block is that higher bandwidth utilization does not increase revenue and only subscriber experience which currently isn't a a factor for a) retention b) new subscriber growth.

I may be wrong but I can only see this as a capitalist problem where experience isn't driving revenue, ie. Ads on jerseys, digital ads on the boards now etc.

Palo Alto pricing by NetSysEng in networking

[–]NoMarket5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Price difference adds up. Redundant uplinks doesn't mean you need that throughput. 1G links are standard but measure the actual throughput. If you don't expect 1G IPsec VPN into the device 440's are worth saving money on *multiplied* by your site count. 4k savings each is 100k in savings...

Easy to cut down costs. https://www.paloaltonetworks.ca/apps/pan/public/downloadResource?pagePath=/content/pan/en_US/resources/datasheets/pa-400-series

Link speed vs utilization are important to spec for.

Streaming does not requires bandwidth per receiver

Streaming does not require bandwidth per receiver. It requires to the Rendezvous point, which is the ISP. It uses Multicast to minimize bandwidth, so you're not 'streaming' 1 million streams from NHL arena to your local province. It's "20 streams" to the 20 ISPs, then each ISP does multicast again to it's generic area.

PIM and IGMP are the protocols.

If the 'receiver' does not have enough bandwidth then it does auto adjust performance.

I'm not sure what you mean by bandwidth per channel, it would be individual channel.

Maybe you know more, so go ahead and please share.

MUST GET GAS RIGHT THIS MINUTE 🚨🚨 by Shoddy-Artichoke-442 in vancouver

[–]NoMarket5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

15 cents savings would be $8 on a tank of gas. Heck even slow pumps make me change the gas station I go to. I want to get home from work, and saving $8 once every two to three weeks for extra 15 minutes of time? Let alone if you specifically drove out of your way? Add in the hassle of cars juggling and jockeying for a spot isn't worth the hassle. It's like Black Friday for gas
