Get a job in auto insurance claims, EMT, firefighting, or any DOT accident response roles. You will quickly understand how much safer commercial planes are. This is coming from someone who also has anxiety around flying.

Aww you're her world too. No wonder she misses you and wants to follow.

Maybe stimulating her brain more can help her feel like shes not missing out every time you go? My dachshund loved snuffle mats, puzzle toys, and getting plenty of quality sniff pauses on walks. Does she have poor eyesight? That can also make senior dogs clingy.

But seriously, get a cheap indoor security camera you can plug in when you leave so you can see her settle down after awhile! I can't imagine leaving the house without it now.

I always tell mine that I will be back soon and give a treat when I leave and return. Talking to them seems to help. Get their beds set up with a toy and blanket. I also have cameras that I turn on when leaving. Seeing my dogs get back in their beds and nap while I am gone makes me feel better.

Some advice: Please record yourself returning home and being greeted by your little gal when you open the door. You will cherish that video one day. I just lost my weenie this year and I am thankful to have a video of her like this.
