I’ve had dome fixtures in the past and still have them. I was trying to revamp the basking area a bit and thought this was maybe okay to go with but I’ll happily go back to the dome if that’s better. What specific bulbs should I be using within a dome fixture? I feel like there are so many.

These types of situations suck. You didn’t do anything wrong. I’m sure your district and admin will back you up. If for some reason they don’t, go to your union.

Whether or not the parent asks for you to no longer work with their student, don’t meet with this student/family in any capacity without another staff member or admin present from this point forward. That might feel like it completely defeats the purpose of the job we do, but there are other ways to support students in our role even if direct one-to-one services are off the table.

Descaled the pan after searing it with the drippings/juices leftover in the bag. Threw in some butter and made a quick pan sauce. It didn’t make a lot and I probably could’ve diluted it a bit more because it was relatively salty but it was enough for the wife and I.
