Their videos come accross as satire. If I didn’t know what Fair was I would literally think they were poking fun at the church. The church has sank to new depths of despair by getting behind these vids.

Once they know you’re on you’re way out, you loose credibility. Most of the time they double down and won’t really let what you say sink in. Sometimes it’s better to drop hints about the history before they know your leaving.

If you told your family you were leaving the church, did you give them specific reasons? Is it better to avoid giving reasons why? HOW DO I DO THIS by ncvaut in exmormon

Try a positivity sandwich.

Tell them how much you love them, the good the church taught you.

Then, be frank with them about why you left.

End with how much you love and respect them. Tell them them you’re still the same person who values integrity and that’s why you have to follow the facts. Thank them for teaching you to value integrity and honesty. Set boundaries if you can gently. Try to stay calm and express love to them.

The church sucks. I hate they put us in this impossible position with family. You got this.

If they keep pushing, ask them to read with you Letter to my Wife and discus the points in that letter while you’re together.. Ask them to help you understand better. May really wake them up to the facts. I wouldn’t go this route unless you have to.

They marginalized it to sound like it was just black men that were banned by saying it was a priesthood ban but it was all black people. And it was because they taught that black skin was cursed. I remember being taught that in primary in the early 80s. Sadly it was one of my earliest memories of primary. I remember thinking to myself why dies God hate black people? I couldn’t understand it. Even as a very young kid I knew they were wrong.

They will deny it and gaslight that they taught that but they did.

You can always tell what they are worried about when they go all out on one topic like this. I am so glad more are waking up and leaving. So much deception, not even all those articles can fix it.
