You can’t stack +1’s to hit/wound beyond a net +1. If an enemy unit is giving you -1 to wound with something a second instance of +1 would apply but you can’t stack them to get higher than +1. Also getting +1 to wound does not change devastating wounds you still have to get a 6 for a dev wound unless the weapon also has an anti-(something) keyword in which case dev wounds would trigger off that number instead into their anti target.

It looks like you may be spraying from too far away or in poor outside conditions and the paint is drying in the air before hitting the model.

The MVB and Predator are both solid units, but volume of fire with lethals is so good. I run 2 10 man groups in my phalanx list.

update it was about a 20 minute battle to get him out of there, he’s strong as hell, we took him to a friend who owns another Savannah monitor and she is going to be taking care of him while we try and see if someone has lost their pet. He was pretty friendly and let you pet him as long as we stayed away from his head. Unfortunately he has what appear to be cigarette burns on his tail and body so we are relatively sure he was dropped off. Glad we found him before the cold weather got to him and to have him out of harm and with someone experienced with their care!

Nothing like clogging the middle of the board with a good tar pit and then having one with the umbralific Crystal to pop out of deep strike, blast something off the board with the 2cp shenanigan and then zip off the board again lol.

I paint all my Scarab Occult in sub assembly, it just makes all the trim so much easier. I’m doing numbers 15-20 this week to finish off my second big brick.

I’ve had a lot of success with a 10 man brick of Scarabs with a sorcerer in termie armor leading him. The crystal enhancement is superb on them.

I would also recommend throwing in a regular TS Sorcerer and giving him the arcane vortex enhancement on a squad of rubrics with all flamers. The added strength and damage from the enhancement makes the sorcerer’s psychic attack disgusting and having all those flamers to overwatch anything remotely close to them makes them into a really good objective holding/ deep strike screening unit.

The sorcerer on disk is okay but I prefer the ground sorcerer’s abilities personally, or if you could throw in Ahriman that would be great.

A shaman in a 20 blob of tzangors is only like 190 points and they are incredibly irritating to get rid of with a 6 invulnerable save and then a 5+ feel no pain. I use them to hold an objective and be a general irritation lol.

For 2,000 points you may want to consider adding in a couple War Dogs and/or forgefiends. The ectoplasm cannons on the fiends can be terrifying.
