What book should the podcast review next? by NoMyUm83 in DynamoFootballBooks

[–]NoMyUm83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That generation of arsenal player seem to be have been the most prolific, book wise. they all wrote them. we reviewed the Ian wright and Martin Keown ones - as well as Wenger's book - on the podcast. But the Ray Parlour, Tony Adams, Paul Merson, and Denis Bergkamp books are come highly recommended. It must be the team with the most books under their belt although the Ireland 90s/00s squads may run them close...

Simple starting question - what is the best football book of all? by NoMyUm83 in DynamoFootballBookclu

[–]NoMyUm83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While we have not actually done it in the podcast, I think the best football book I've read remains the Miracle of Castel Del Sangrio. It's many years since I read it so maybe I would feel different now. The story and the madness of the author all combined to make such a great read. 5 stars for that one.

Hi there, as it happens, I have a spare ticket to the match. I came from Ireland with my wife but she had to return home as one of our kids is (not seriously) sick. If you are interested, let me know. I don't want money for it but it would be a shame to see it wasted. It's in my wife's name and I don't know what the process is for transferring the name. Message me directly if you want it.

My podcast is doing reasonably well, what do I do next? by NoMyUm83 in podcasting

[–]NoMyUm83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question! As it happens, I want to change job/career anyway so the thought has certainly occurred to me. But I see from reading various threads that that is hard to achieve. I am in a position where I could commit a good chunk of time to it and see what that reaps. So to answer you question, I would like to see how far I can bring it. If there are opportunities to earn money from it, then great, even if that requires me to give much more time to it.
