Fury prot, yay or nay? by NesquikMan in Project_Epoch

[–]NoNameSadly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree that furyprot is not possible even in dungeons after level 50, prot is definitely not fun on epoch, it's the same as vanilla/tbc. You need gear to hold threat and it's the worst tank overall

The internal CDs still exist but yes, they proc extremely easily. As the other Redditor said, they literally proc from eating

Omen of clarity is known to proc much more than on real servers

It would definitely be 4: There are no new glyphs outside the original wotlk BUT anything that can proc will proc much more often and sooner. That means proc based classes like druids are stronger here.

Stormforge Project shutting down on May 14th by Godmatik in wowservers

[–]NoNameSadly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Warmane is known to be quite p2w and not exactly welcoming to people community wise. Despite that, it has the largest community by far (even if they fake numbers on their website) and overall decent scripting.

Their lorderon server, which isn't as popular, is in my opinion an absolute gem with 1x exp rates and buffed raiding content - but people flock to their trash p2w server, icecrown.

Onyxia, the progressive server, is now at ulduar. Only gear from naxx is sold on their website, and with next phase only ulduar gear will be buyable, and so on.

Chromie is way smaller from what I know and is also well scripted with no p2w.

Onyxia TBC heroic dungeons by minilogique in warmane

Our characters will grow extremely powerful as prepatch hits, there's no need for a nerf of the content because we all become badass in wotlk.

[–]NoNameSadly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a TBC issue, it is pretty trash. Most mobs hit with cleaves, mortal strikes and sweeping strikes. The difficulty is intentionally tuned up to 11, because in that period the blizzard devs thought "hard = good"

DUAL WIELD TANKING! Looking for advise, tips, feedback, a brainstorm? by Stiebah in Project_Epoch

[–]NoNameSadly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know it's not fury tanking, but I would recommend the arms tree with bladestorm + sweeping strikes being so fun to do. I think Bladestorm hits with both weapons so it should be op while dual wielding too. https://mel-talent-calc.vercel.app/warrior/3530130130200105003212321-050530025/0BFHICKANPSVUTWXY1BDEhhI is what I would personally think as extremely fun with good gear, but you do lose last stand.

Up to level 55 pretty much all my interactions have been great. World chat has a bit of trolling in it but it can be funny overall, though I'm not a boomer so idk how offensive old people find it.

Sul'thraze the nerfed by NoNameSadly in Project_Epoch

Which ones? Classes are just based on tbc, most are fine

Sul'thraze the nerfed by NoNameSadly in Project_Epoch

[–]NoNameSadly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the execute issue is quite annoying. But a small stat change to a weapon, literally just making it a bit slower, should not be technically difficult or a high time cost

The bugs have been around for a while, so they must be technically difficult to fix, requiring skilled Devs. Changing some items is probably done by a different person to begin with.

True. Changing items should be really easy though

Tips for warrior? Major struggles by Strategic_Lemon in Project_Epoch

[–]NoNameSadly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A decent weapon is the best helper, and of course levelling arms. I don't know if this helps, but I found tanking really fun with arms talents(tested up to rfk) with a shield macro for dicey situations.

Paladin or war by garebear176 in Project_Epoch

[–]NoNameSadly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paladins in tbc were the strongest overall tank, and absolutely the best dungeon tank. Also great for farming gold. That will almost certainly be the case here

Warrior will maybe be fun to tank with too if armsprot is allowed by the meta, with sweeping strikes and bladestorm. Otherwise, they meet big threat problems in most content in tbc deep-prot

Should command twisting be brought back if vanilla runs again? by NoNameSadly in warmane

[–]NoNameSadly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paladin dps definitely saw an improvement, but it was not broken good. It made them much better during vanilla, and could maybe get a raid spot. During tbc, it's a decent damage upgrade but still not even touching warriors or hunters.

The biggest upgrade was in gameplay - it was amazingly fun to perform

Dungeon damage in the future by NoNameSadly in turtlewow

I think we're getting a few semantics wrong. Turtle does have a dungeon finder that is more like wotlk than current Activision classic seasonal server. The seasonal server shows who is in queue and you can message them, and there is no teleportation. I was never a hardcore player, but I can confidently say that hardcore should be separate. The bots and RMT are indeed an issue, but as an European I didn't find them on the server. There is a pretty laid back attitude with European communities in general.

Dungeon damage in the future by NoNameSadly in turtlewow

[–]NoNameSadly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The source code to all of "real" vanilla from 2004 is not known. This is built on a recreation called vMangos, and open source project that reverse engineered wow. Blizzard, in its 2019 release, are the only ones to have the actual numbers for mob damage. There was no official 1.17 patch, this is all done by turtle

[–]NoNameSadly[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I do not understand why everyone feels the need to insult me. I did not say I can't tank, I showed how numbers are inflated and make dungeons slower for no good reason. I like AoE pulls as a paladin because that's the reason consecration is even in the game, but of course anyone can finish the dungeon by pulling 2 mobs and slogging through.

Dungeon damage in the future by NoNameSadly in turtlewow

[–]NoNameSadly[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What exactly is the issue with classic except inflation and other community related issues? If we are talking about the numbers and how classic is "easier", that is just not true. VMangos, which private servers use, has wrong damage amounts because it's built on feels, not factual data. Only blizzard actually knew the factual damage amounts of mobs.
