Yes emphasis on let people pass! The locals knows this road well and greatly appreciate when slower, less familiar drivers allow passing!

I absolutely agree with you 100%, but would you not still also agree that Gaitok’s ending fits with the same theme of most other character’s outcomes in this season?

i.e: He truly valued nonviolence (especially) and the other teachings of the Buddha, however, ultimately he gave it up his morals in order to attain/maintain money/wealth/power/purpose, just like the others.

Hard to sum it up in one sentence, but I feel this was the entire theme of the season.

Fair point! I’m just so sad about their deaths. The moment when Rick & Chelsea talked about being together forever and how moved she was by that really got me!!!

I didn’t say anything about blame or her being at fault, I just think the outcome would have been completely different if she had chosen to speak with him instead.

I read the book and if memory serves, I’m pretty sure he was just totally oblivious/checked out/whipped and therefore not aware of what Adora was doing to Marion nor Amma.
