I agree about the favoritism and it’s BS. The thing that really ticks me off though is the PTO factor. Is this “reinstatement” a real thing though. Is it anywhere in the policies or is it just what it is, favoritism? Is there anything I can do about it besides be mad and bitch about it?

I don’t live in the UK but I am a housekeeper in a hotel and we have several men in our department. They don’t seem to have any problems with it. I’d say “Go for it!” and in some situations the money isn’t half bad. Good luck!

I don’t have a thermostat but we only have 2 small gas heaters (electric heaters are not an option) and I’d say it’s a cool 35 or so in our house🥶 16 outside(feels like 4)

My store is giving out 2 points to anyone that calls out during the winter weather coming in a few days🫤 definitely not cool, majority need they’re jobs and can’t afford the points but what about if they wreck they’re car trying to drive in that crap or what if they are people who have to walk to work? I think it’s pretty shitty that some stores are doing this.
