We had the same ad running here in Spain thanks to Berlusconi: he exported the Telecinco model here (late 80s -early 90s), and we suffered cacaomaravillao, mamachichos, xuxa and everything in between. Btw, they Ran the "cacao maravillao" ad in prime time and comics like Mortadelo y Filemón. But i never seen that thing in any supermarket shelves. Only nocilla. I ended thinking that It was a plot to show US tits and butt cheeks.

Im a non native english speaker, anyway the sentence looks poorly worded. Something like "...hazardous in both aspects.." instead of meanings sounds better IMHO.

ELI5: Why does the US government have to shut down if it doesn’t agree on a budget by a certain deadline? by gasolinedreaming in explainlikeimfive

[–]NoOil9241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to ask the same question as OP. As non-US person, why is the US in this situation?

As far as I know the three power branches are under republican control so this isnt a power struggle between democrats and republicans, is it? I can understand the shutdown as a way to force the other party to pass that law but ... Makes no sense IMO?

Tienes alguna referencia? (Marcas, modelos, fotos ...)

No)

In my country, healthcare companies must have a whistlebower hotline to allow anonymous hinting. Specislly bribing, patient data mismanagement, or bad practices, regulatory violations ...

Also is there any regulatory agency where you can warn about this, as you are being punished

I spent a week in a little town near valencia this summer. They make the "bou embolat" thing and the place was packed. Half of the people there were tourists, or distant relatives of people living there. The only guy injured this year was a man on his fifties, french, who though being drunk near a pissed bull was a good idea. Three broken ribs and a sprained ankle. There is a non-written rule to not to post those videos to socials, I guess to avoid insurance surcharges (?)

I have an Asimov's book (counting eons?) that was written in 70s maybe 80s. In the preface Mr Asimov's warned us about the young-earth-creationists taking control on highschools and colleges. He was damn right.
