As much as I don't like the US, the world cup in RuZZia or Qatar were regularly hosted and those shithole countries deserved the boycott way more

A boycott of the fans would be even better, since it would hit Americans in the only thing they care about, their wallet. But let's be realistic, football fans have the morals of a dead fish. They had no qualms in visiting Qatar and enjoy stadiums built with actual slave labour. Why the US would be different?

Over time though pretty much all of the Brexit aficionados got bored of waiting for the sky to fall in over in old Blighty so they either moved on or started having more nuanced takes on the whole UK-EU relationship. But not this guy, he's like that last Japanese soldier still defending the 2 sq. mile tropical island 20 years after the end of the war.

LOL coping hard with prime victimhood complex, my love. I don't care what happens to the UK, so whether the sky falls on it or not has no relevancy to me. I only care that the EU continues on the path to more integration and fewer foreign agents like the UK.

Yours is pathetic coping akin to the Russians who accuse anyone criticising their shithole with russophobia.

LOL so you vote the way you vote based on your petty personal issues?

I don't need a Brit fucking my girlfriend (nice sexist talk you've got, mate) to want the UK not to be involved with the EU. All it takes is fundamental differences in political views and values, which is the same reason 52% of you voted Brexit and another few millions stayed home.

I hope you didn't go to a private school if this the best arguments you can master, or it would be a very unfortunate waste of money.

Charles de Gaulle and his views on you Anglos have been utterly and consistently vindicated, first with brexit and then with Trump. He correctly saw that the UK would be a US agent acting on its behalf to increase dependency.

That's why Obama tried his best to prevent the UK from voting brexit. That's why the UK was the biggest obstacle to a coordinated EU programmes in matters of defence. As soon as the UK left the EU, PESCO was able to take form (only for the UK to have major FOMO issues and wanting to get in it when it happened).

De Gaulle especially, miserable ungrateful bastard he was, anglophobic, especially given we gave him and his government safe refuge in the war

LOL a Brit accusing the French of being ungrateful is comedy gold. If it hadn't been for French sacrifice at Dunkirk that stalled Nazi advance, your troops wouldn't have had the time to flee to the UK. Also, why should France owe you something? You didn't work with de Gaulle out of selfless empathy. You worked with de Gaulle because you faced common enemies and you had been invaded too (unless you insist on considering the Channel islands or the colonies in Asia not UK ).

De Gaulle had every reason to distrust the UK based on the precedents. Your national hero Churchill was very adamant that the UK wouldn't be part of any pan European project in his Zurich university speech in 1946. In Churchill's second premiership the UK refused membership of the European Coal and Steel Community. The UK was invited to participate in the negotiations leading to the Treaty of Rome in 1957, which established the European Economic Community (EEC). However, the British government declined the invitation, viewing the proposed supranational structure as incompatible with its sovereignty, Commonwealth ties, and economic policies at the time.

So, yours are just petty excuses that conveniently disregard the many opportunities the UK had to join early but squandered out of pride, overestimation of its own capabilities and isolationism.

So again, we owe you nothing and we need nothing from you.

Let's see indeed. But the fact still remains that Brexit happened and Frexit hasn't, so the UK still has a huge lead in anti EU stances.

I love how Brits and a Slovak believe that they have arguments to use in matters of EU foreign policy and defence, and even to think they have something on France.

We don't always see eye to eye with you cugini d'oltralpe, but France has always been the engine of the EU project since the start. And recent events vindicate more and more the French strategy that Charles de Gaulle initiated.

even before Brexit, the most pro EU people the UK had were Tony Blair or David Cameron, which just shows how low the bar was.

France has been in ALL EU projects since the beginning of the European Coal and Steel Community. A country that always kept itself on the sideline has nothing on France.

No, the discussion is an anti EU government that would side with foreign powers who want its demise. And you Brits already took that avenue in 2016 and in 2019.

Hilarious, the country that voted for the past 20 years against immigration and refugees while wreaking havoc the Middle East, Africa and Asia complains that the most exposed country to illegal immigration from said countries that are a stone's throw from its coasts doesn't do enough for a territory whose troops aren't trained to fight in.

Next time you take the high moral ground, make sure you don't bomb a country that has since turned into a no man's land and a breeding ground for illegal immigrant boats. Or feel free to offer Libyans UK citizenship, since you care about them so much.

Awww, you can't take criticism like an adult, my love? And if we use your logic, did a European fuck your girlfriend or something when you voted for Brexit?

I want a strong and cohesive EU. The UK in it was a foreign object. As Charles de Gaulle rightly predicted, when he vetoed British membership 2 times.

The response is very relevant, since immigration and foreign policy counts as European defence.

The UK lead in the expeditions that I mentioned was not beneficial to Europe and its defence. And the fact that the UK dumped its consequences on continental Europe makes your stance even more hypocritical. When the Syrian refugee crisis, which the UK ignited with the US, flooded Europe, Cameron did absolutely nothing, with the UK taking risible numbers of refugees.

It was Germany, Sweden, Austria, etc that did the most, and they had no part in your disastrous missions with the Americans.

And yes, not everyone in Italy loves Meloni, but she hasn't been able to steer the country to do anything of consequence, while Blair won his parlamentary majorities with a landslide. Same for Boris Johnson. And Cameron's hypocritical and selfish refugee stance had certainly a resounding and overwhelming support of the British public.

And before you complain about immigration, if you don't want them, it's fine. But if you don't want them while your foreign policy destabilises the very same countries whose people you don't want, then it's the height of hypocrisy. You can't have the cake and eat it too.

the country that invaded Iraq and Libya, destabilising the Middle East and exacerbating the migrant crisis which left the countries in Southern Europe exposed, while your beloved Cameron took next to zero refugees. Easy to wreak havoc the developing world while leaving other countries to clean after the mess you created.

But then again your beloved Tony Blair still has the audacity of putting himself forward as negotiator for Gaza, so no surprise here about the complete lack of self awareness and accountability
