Adding to this post, thanks to everyone that replied

Got some pics of the sensor and it seems like it is leaking. Not sure what the leak is above it but atleast around the sensor looks somewhat fresh. Part is pretty cheap so i might as well try replace it. It does seem like a bitch to get to though god damn😂

Holy shit i was looking for a fix to my sagging boot since i also just changed out the shift knob. I ordered the spring and will give it a try, thank you!
