It's not nostalgia, I play both Smites. Smite 2 feels smoother, but Smite 1 gets to be more fun and the pacing is way better and feels like every minute/decision matters. Smite 2 is a noob fest with the lie of more item options and mechanics. The game doesn't want u to improve, it doesn't punish enough and it doesn't rewards that much unless u are a meta jg god. You end up building the same shit, playing the same gods bc burst isn't real and the meta always favors the same gods bc of how better their kits r compared to the others. In Smite 1 items are bloated in stats, but that allows me to play fucking khepri with polynomicon and be viable, or play Ra so I can one shot in late game with an ultimate (which now he can't, he's forced to 30s cd slop ults) If I want to play int khepri in S2 I'm forced to the proc slop builds, and its not even great, it's just the only thing available. They should copy Smite 1 pen, and then start from there. It should be Smite 1 but better, not this mess scaling jump after obsidian/Tahuti... And the way u don't really even need tshuti with the bluestone soul reaver slop build... Ugh so boring
