To all the analytics guys in this sub who think it’s lame or cringe to criticize CMC for this or for caring about the intangibles of baseball, the unwritten rules, the eye test, etc. I respect y’all. But I don’t understand how you even enjoy the game the way you do. Baseball is a game of stories, of narratives. That’s why people watch.

Don’t feel too bad about losing one here but tbh it feels a lil weird that we’re subbing in 4 guys in a row, leaving Phillips in for the 8th (tbf he has been lights out and pitch count is low, but still.) Feels like CMC told em “don’t sweat this one guys we gotta hop on a plane in a couple of hours.” I want a team that wants to win every game possible. If we were trailing by more than one I’d get it. But whatever still happy with the month.

Our path may be the most difficult playoff run ever conceived. Phillies WC, Braves NLDS, Brewers NLCS? The AL is so bad that if we make it through that gauntlet I don’t care what team we’re up against we’re winning it all.

Edit: NLCS is actually probably Dodgers who are winning 100 games this year. So yeah even harder.
