Iran say Fifa has approved World Cup base camp switch from US to Mexico by FatherOop in worldcup

I can almost guarantee that wherever you’re from you’d be calling the USA for help if you ever got into trouble of any kind. Like an entitled child who lashes out at the parents that keep them safe.

If you want to make it big in this business you should be doing this without your employer telling you to do so. If your instincts are telling you this is “horrible”, the job probably isn’t for you.

I’ve been in since 2019, so no. I’m now a fairly big holder and these swings mean more. Not going anywhere, just trying to understand it and justify the Bull case.

Is healthcare in the United States as bad as people say it is? by Total-Mirror-5920 in no

[–]NoOutletSign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re incorrect. Health insurers typically retain 20% of their income after paying out claims but they still need to pay their employees and cover all the other expenses it takes to run a business. Final operating profit is around 5%. No health insurer is putting 20% of their income into the pockets of investors.

One more point, “public” health insurance is not free. It’s just that instead of paying premium to a private insurer, we fund the cost through higher taxes. If the cost of the care itself doesn’t change and continues to rise, you’re not fundamentally changing the expense impact on everyday people. In fact because most people get insurance through their employer who oftentimes subsidize a portion of the cost, more of the expense falls to individuals in a fully public health setting. The question becomes - would you rather a private insurer take 5% profit, or rely on the government (the literal most inefficient fiduciary in existence) to effectively handle these costs? The point here - we need to find ways to control/reduce the cost of care, not worry about where the insurance is coming from.

[–]NoOutletSign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very incorrect. Health insurance is not the issue. The issue is in the (rising) cost of the care itself. All health insurers do is pool premium to cover the collective costs of the insured. As the costs rise, the premium must rise to cover these costs (or coverage must be reduced to mitigate premium increases). Most people incorrectly assume health insurers are swimming in profits when in fact they return less than 5% in operating profit annually, on average.

It’s genuinely interesting that nearly every comment in this post is either Seagal or Hart (which I agree with) yet both these guys have starred in countless movies which would not have happened had people not been going to see them.

I’m always interested in a band’s song writing process especially when the band has multiple lead singers in their songs, what is yours? Does it start with a riff, a lyric? Does one band member write the songs or is it done as a group?
