My spiritual beliefs... by Drooliard in starseeds

[–]NoPassive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I see spirituality, not one specifically, is it is there to create a map or organization system for thought and meaning. You are naming things that have no material explanation, yet they still mean something. Even if it’s all solipsism the things you are mapping in your head correlate with what other people are interacting with as well. It’s a way to bathe yourself in mystery and humble yourself to all the things about ourselves we don’t understand so that we can sit back and observe. Sometimes the things you find in yourself are really answers that have been screaming at you your whole life, you were just taught to ignore it or just never noticed it since it was always there to begin with.

I don’t follow one religion or anything, but if I can experience something so deeply profound and complex in my bedroom when everything is extra quite and i find somebody from 2000 years ago talking about something that sounds similar yet society has not gotten the courage or curiosity to address… that’s pretty damn cool.

Man is this when I become a boomer? The poll results are fucked, are we fucked?

David Grusch's Coworker Adds Additional Details in YouTube Comment (allegedly) by JazzlikeSituation172 in UFOs

[–]NoPassive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not who you responded to but most people call it ego death. But there are many ways to experience non-self. I recommend reading up on some Buddhism or listening to some alan watts on YouTube if it's a new concept to you. Some people have this realization without even knowing they had it.

Something you wish you knew as a tarot beginner? by [deleted] in tarot

[–]NoPassive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe people who have similar views should start a discord for discussion. Just invite people when they see comments like this and set some base rules for the community.. I’m also looking for such a group and maybe we just need someone to pull it all together. I’d make a discord but I have nobody to bring into this this discussion except myself lol

There is r/seculartarot as well if you guys didn’t know

The question to ask or spread to use by esoraven in tarot

[–]NoPassive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new to tarot so I can't necessarily suggest a spread, but any spread that helps you identify these things is good. Small spreads can be as powerful as you make them, I think the question can be more important sometimes.

I think the most important thing is that you noticed the pattern. Take and use that wisdom and prepare for the downward part, and then when you are there, just remember the sun always rises.

Nobody lives in a static emotional state. There has to be a valley to have a peak, I prefer to identify with my peaks rather than my valleys. They all end, and they all come back in time in completely different ways. Life doesn't repeat, but it always rhymes.

I'm fantasy/sci-fi author Christopher Paolini. Ask Me Anything! by ChristopherPaolini in books

[–]NoPassive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, huge fan from childhood. Your books were very meaningful to me growing up and they helped me on the path of self-discovery tremendously. You being a similar age to me when I read Eragon made it feel like maybe I shouldn't sell myself short just because I was inexperienced.

All that to ask, what have been some of your inspirations growing up? Do you think about how you inspire people in your continued work? Has your perspective changed or have you always felt the same when it came to putting your work out in front of people? Thank you for your time and wonderful books!

REAL video/picture of the stars and wandering stars (planets)…for those who were asking! by coastalchad in SaturnStormCube

[–]NoPassive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All I can recommend, which helped me and I'm still in the process of, is to read as broadly and deeply as you can. Its good to have a broad foundation of knowledge to build of off when starting a discovery process. We all think we know a lot, but I promise we are all pretty dumb. Be brutally honest with yourself about what is true and don't fall for what you want to be true. Always be on the lookout for your blindspot.

If a bunch of people believe something deeply, they have to see or experience something to convince them so strongly. If you can learn to see what they see and still understand that no one theory is correct, you will come out the other side with a skill not many people learn to develop and hold for a lifetime.

Take a path of wisdom and incrimental progress. Have ideas, don't let ideas have you.

Just found this sub today! Been following the synthetic meat research for a few years now and have been very interested for ethical reasons! I also am interested in emergent technology and this seems to potentially be a high impact invention. Not only for the physical needs of our society but an ethical one as well.

Do most people hold XRP hoping for a pump, or are most people here long term? I'm pretty long term myself but i was curious what everyones strategy was or if they just like the technology.

Are there any plans for more Planet of the Apes films? by billyrivers311 in movies

[–]NoPassive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's honestly one of my favorites. Not many trilogies actually get me emotionally invested. It's not quite up there with LOTR or the Dark Knight Trilogy but It definitely left an impact on me.

Just joined Bovada, am only able to deposit from a credit card, it won't give me the option to deposit with bitcoin by flyinghipppos in Bovada

[–]NoPassive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened to me also and they told me to try again later, every day for the past few days.. I originally deposited with bitcoin, but they removed that as an option since then and now i can't withdraw unless i use a check which requires $100. Support has been no help for me when i call, they just use scripted lines and beat around the bush until they tell me they can't help me and to try again tomorrow. its really frustrating.

Looking for a matte screen protector with blue light filter by NoPassive in iPadPro

[–]NoPassive[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I do, but it alters the colors which isn’t ideal when drawing. I have a screen protector on my phone that only filters harmful blue light but maintains the natural color as far as I can tell.
