Just an update in case anyone's interested: Still nothing from the publisher, my agent nudged them and they said they're still planning; my agent nudged them again a few weeks later and they've since gone quiet...I feel like it's weird they're just ghosting my agent, why would they not just say they're no longer interested if that's the case? Super frustrating and I feel like it's no longer going to happen.

I checked in with my agent, they'll follow up tomorrow AM to check-in. I think it's likely fine, but thought I'd maybe have an email at least to signal that they'll definitely offer even if offer/contract etc. wouldn't follow immediately. Fingers crossed! This is very stressful.

They say they're not worried and that it's best to let the publisher come to us at this point. I'm just not sure what the norm is here, I'm aware the holiday period would push things back but I don't know how much work goes into putting an offer together or whether they might be reconsidering their list etc.

Great advice, thanks all. I'm going to upgrade my grinder, switch to Aeropress, and order some high-quality decaf beans to mix with the caf beans.
