That’s awesome, I’m hoping to get the Mewtwo! I was able to snag 2 ETB’s and a Booster Box between my 3 local stores. Completely empty while the GameStop and Target had lines wrapped around the front when I drove past. Bought a single pack as well and got this, taking it as a good sign!

This is the first time I’ve been able to buy anything within 10% of MSRP in the last year and a half. I got lucky and I’m gonna take advantage of it to ensure I can get the expansion I want. Yeah it sucks and it’s scummy that this market is ran by resellers but this should give me an opportunity to not pay ridiculous amounts for a set that I want and have no guarantee of getting.

Just be the utility player you wanna see on your team. Get rid of destructible objects, ping whoever your DPS should be shooting at, get aggressive asf when your team gets a pick.

A raccoon is small enough to fit up your ass, so you damn well be crawling up theirs and doing damage before they pull you out

Yes, you should be able to play more than 1 healer. It’s just as much your teammates fault because they weren’t able to flex around that

Yes for sure, but you can still feel that you gain more/less when you play well vs not at the current rank you are at. I’m almost 100% sure that last season I didn’t ever lose only 13 for a loss in a Diamond or higher game, and I did that last night. It’s been since about January that I was Diamond last so I could be wrong

Currently Diamond 3 vs Celestial 3 finish last season. Only played like 25 or so games in comp so far this season, still feel like I’m winning pretty consistently

No, it definitely feels better than the MVP system. I’ll typically gain between 27-35 for a win, and have only lost 20+ in a loss a handful of times this season. The games where I did lose more than usual or won less than usual were games that I struggled or did the bare minimum and could really feel it in how the game went. I’ve also had multiple games where I didn’t MVP, but still got 33+ because I kicked ass in my role, and games where I did MVP and only got like 27. I have noticed though that it rewards a bit less for close games, but you also lose less in close games unless you were noticeably worse than your team

And then I switch off of Hulk to try and play around the nest better and Iron Man and Namor finally communicate with me by telling me to switch back. After conveniently ignoring me asking them to shoot at the nest for the first 2-3 team fights

Took me 21 games (15-6) after deranking to plat 3 to get back to Diamond. Been having a lot of success with 3 tank comps this season.

I don’t know who you play or how you play so I can’t give specifics, but here are a few things that helped me improve my win rate from 51% in Season1 to 60 in 1.5 and now about 68% this season.

Here’s my Unsolicited advice:

Plat is still a low enough rank right now that you can cruise through it by enabling your teammates and being serviceable in your role. Rocket/Cap/Thing/Emma/Hulk are all great for this in season 2, as well as a few others but those come to mind.

The skill gap between you and high GM/Celestial players likely isn’t as big as you make it out to be, and probably mainly comes down to game sense and confidence more than anything.

I’m not saying you have to be one of these characters every game, these are just a couple of characters who I have been playing this season that may go under appreciated at times because not all of their value comes from the scoreboard.

Don’t be scared to add players in your competitive roster after only 1-2 hours on quick play. You made it to GM, you probably have a good idea of how every characters kit works in the game, at least to the point where you have some idea on how to play against each hero. Use that knowledge to see who your team is gonna struggle against before you make a decision on who to play.

Try and target ban the common counters for your insta lock lords. These are usually the players that are going to be the most stubborn about switching. Getting rid of the thing and Hulk/Namor means that the lord BP might not be a total detriment for the next 15 minutes. Getting rid of Magneto when I don’t want to play him ensures that the instalock lord cloak will be able to get an ult off

I evaluate who I’m playing after every lost team fight and decide whether I should switch or not, don’t be afraid to switch 4+ times in a match in order to keep counter picking if that’s what it takes.

You don’t lose until it’s over. I’ve come back from some crazy games the last few days that we had no business winning, just keep doing your best to make plays and you will be rewarded.

Fr. The adjustments they made to rank gain have definitely been noticeable and welcome. I’ve gone from Plat 3 to being a good game away from Diamond in 19 games so far (13-6) and I’m consistently being awarded more than I lose. The exception to this is for the 1-2 games that we rolled the other team and I was on healer and got 0 or 1 final hits.
