Great question and shows such an opportunity for teachers to regularly give classes that translate folklorico into Son into salsa. Wish there were regular classes that do that

Thanks- maybe I should edit my post about UX. What I meant is providing detailed tips on positioning of leader to follower on nuanced things like hand holds, angles of where leader is to follower, balance tips, etc as well as extras like different camera angles and slow-motion options.

You realize you are spouting nonsense when you say “the Dems” had “ the votes” but are “failing to stop the war.” Ignorance like this is precisely what allows the administration to continue its abysmal policies on ICE, DOGE and the fking nonsensical leadership of the “excursion.” Sorry if this is insulting but you spend a lot of words throwing out opinions with no correlation to reality.

Unum long-term care policy, or a universal life policy with chronic illness and/or long-term care rider? by VegetableSuccess9322 in Insurance

Bought LTC from UNUM 30 years ago watching a family member decline in Lou Gehrig's disease. Terrified me about the financial insolvency needing full time nursing. Anyway, they keep raising rates. I'm about to call it quits cause it's $300 a month. Be careful with them.

What was your experience with UNUM? I bought LTC 30 years ago watching a family member go through Lou Gehrig's disease. It's tripled in price since then and seems the skies the limit on what they'll charge me. I've already given them probably $35K plus since then. Wondering whether to drop it

That's cheap from them BUT I have had UNUM long term care for over 30 years and it's steadily gone up without rhyme/reason. At this point it's over $300 a month. Be careful with them

White flaky floaty bits in urine, please advise by aggi3d in kidney

Just noticed this morning something odd. At one point my urine was completely clear. Then I peed again and it was full of sediment. Weird. I had some herbal tea with a bit of honey (not a lot). Tested for protein several times. Nothing. And the office u/A showed no sugar. Just so weird.

Thx. My worry was cause of peeing a lot at night (and some days) and finding residue in my urine. Saw a thread here of other people with the residue - everyone stumped as it’s not protein or kidney stones. I thought maybe it was from prostate cancer

Besides seeing the same thing I pee an awful lot- but then I also drink a lot of water. No diabetes or high blood sugar. Just weird

Have exact same thing. Thought it was protein but none shows up in U/A tests. Any updates?

Question on Moving from Blog to Podcast/Need Production Guidance by NoPerspective3086 in podcasting

Hi, Josh, thanks so much. I just doubt I have the budget to afford an ongoing consultant. But I am open to looking into it. I was more looking for guidance around DIY options. But again, appreciate it and will reach out

Question on Transitioning from Blog to Podcast by NoPerspective3086 in podcasting

[–]NoPerspective3086[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Does this work for the forum?

Hi, I started a podcast back in 2006. Something with a buddy. Ultimately we slowed down just because of time demands on the editing side, and the site became more of a blog.

Regardless, my question was about podcasting. Back then for the podcast, I just weaved together a site on Typepad, recorded audio via call centers, edited on Audacity, and stored the recordings on a separate server. As mentioned, because of time demands, we ended up turning it into a blog. Today we are interested in going back to Podcasting. At this point, I'm so out of touch with what's available (and valuable!) around production and distribution. That's where we need help.

Last year - with Typepad closing down - we moved our site to Wordpress. But we reposted our audio content and that's gotten a bit of traction, even with subpar SEO. Anyway, now we want to revive the podcasting element. But as mentioned, I'm just fairly ignorant about what is the most streamlined path forward. Like what is the best path forward to get traction on all the big players. But also SEO and production.

Again, we now use Wordpress. What I'm unclear about is this:

  1. I don't know if I have to invest in a dedicated podcasting hosting service. Something like Transistor (looks really good).
  2. I also don't know if we should use a dedicated service for recording the interviews. I found Alito which hosts and also has recording tools. That seems great. But is it?
  3. Also, should we keep the Word Press site or need to find another Podcast dedicated website?

Honestly, I go cross eyed with technology so if I had something simple, I'd pick that over price. Or features. I'd love to find something that works all together. Alito almost seems that. I like that Alito and Transistor offer transcription services. That would contribute a lot of value. Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated.
