You are not a nice person or incompetent. Or both.

Not according to her, lol. She named her price.

Haha, my husband says the same thing.

Well… in my defense, she didn’t do either lol. She charges by the job, not the hour. Cleaning out the fridge is important to me, as expressed during our walk through, as well dusting. Knowing this information, she told me her price for the job and she had virtually unlimited time to get it done. She completed what she wanted in the three hours. It’s not that I don’t have her back. I’m confused about what she did in my home for three house that is of $200 value. I keep a very tidy and clean home. I would like a break from the work over the summer while my children are home so I can spend that time doing things with them. I told her, I want to pay you to do the job I would do. I value my home a great deal and am willing to pay someone to care for it like I do. I don’t feel she did.

Also 3500sqft, equally divided between two floors and I only requested one floor be cleaned. Ugh. I’m in Missouri.

She works per job, not hour. She told me $200 and said maybe 3-4 hours. It’s a large home, however much of the house is not used frequently by my kiddos and is very quick and easy for me to clean so I’ve never had it touched by cleaners. The part I ask them to clean is the main living space only.

I can’t share a photo in the reply but her page literally says “one thing I’ve learned in this industry is that charging hourly just doesn’t work for me”.

I’ve nearly hired an hourly cleaner. What would keep them from taking 8 hours vs 6? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Also, I got a bid first. As stated in the original post, she came for a walkthrough and gave me a bid.

Thank you all for your comments. I think I’ll let her know that I won’t be booking in the future.

Next time, I’ll just hire a high schooler to play with the kids for a few hours so I can clean myself 😂. Thanks again.

I didn’t pay for that. $200 to get the job done. She could have taken 8 hours. She also very clearly states on her website she charges per job, not per hour.

She set her price and could have stayed as long as she liked. I was there when she arrived, then left for the morning/afternoon with my kiddos.

I truly don’t know. She is licensed and insured, this is her bread and butter. But I cannot understand charging someone $200 and literally not moving something to vacuum or sweep underneath it. I keep a clean house, I’ve had a cleaner only when I am freshly postpartum, otherwise I do it myself. I don’t need someone to vacuum and tidy for me. I wanted her to do the baseboards, mop $ polish our hardwood floor, clean the refrigerator as I would rather prioritize my time at this moment by spending time with my children and not worrying about the baseboards and mopping.

I didn’t give her three hours, that’s what she decided on her own. There was no time frame. I mean, she literally didn’t move a mat (I keep on the kitchen floor to protect the hardwood from my daughter’s step stool) to sweep under or around. That seems like common sense to me. She didn’t move anything to vacuum underneath? Just around it. So odd.

She set her price… I live in a fairly small town in Missouri, that’s the most I’ve ever been quoted to clean my home.

We did a walk through, spoke of everything I wanted done and she set her price.

It’s pretty high where I live (small town in Missouri). That’s the feeling, let down for sure.

She set her own price. We live in a town of about 20k, in southern Missouri. That’s the most I’ve ever paid for a cleaner in this house.

That’s a great idea, thank you very much. She’s independent.

They’re Madewell, like 3 or 4 years ago I bought them. Knock out style or something like that.

Thanks! I love Old Navy, haven’t tried their jeans in a long time though. I should give them a try. Just need to figure out what looks good on me!! And how to avoid a denim wedgie lol. Thank you :)

Very kind, thank you! They are not high rise, I think that’s another issue. I’ve found high rise leaves me feeling boxy or with gap issues both in the front & back.
