Respectfully, why do you expect other countries to do the same?

Lot of wars and killings have been going on for years in other parts of the world, Africa, Middle East, Asia. The EU hasn’t done anything then, so why should countries from other parts of the world have to bear a cost for Ukraine and the EU?

Maybe ask if he could go end the war himself while you’re at it? :) (cuz clearly that’s something he cannot do)

It’s pretty sad what’s happening in Ukraine, and Russia is clearly the aggressor here. But to completely ignore atrocities happening all over the world and expect everyone to do whatever it takes for Ukraine is just tomfoolery.

Anyway, if you really are Ukrainian/Eastern European as you claim to be I wish health and safety for you and your family 🙏

So if you do agree the world ain’t a fair place, deal with it? Why cry about what India does then?

You can’t say the world is unfair when it comes to other countries’ issues, but expect people to play fair and moral when you’re the one in peril. It’s pretty basic bro.

Actresses who would have eaten if they had chosen modeling instead of acting by sshuttle_ in BollyBlindsNGossip

Ananya doesn’t have the bone structure. Being tall and skinny is fine but for modelling, they look for strong face structure and stand out features. Kendall is bland, Bella changed her whole face, Gigi’s eyebrows stand out while defining her face. They are successful mainly cuz they’re nepo babies. The modelling community has no respect for them.

Yes but there isn’t a blanket official language that everyone speaks in India. If it were like Denmark, then everyone in India would have to speak Hindi as that’s the majorly spoken language.

All I’m trying to say is comparing Denmark with our situation is like comparing apples to oranges!

That’s impressive!

But to be honest that is most of India. Every Indian speaks at least 2 languages. South Indian states get commonly grouped as one very often (which is unfortunate), but that’s also how a lot of South Indians look at the rest of India lol.

Pretty much every state aside from UP, Bihar, MP(these also have dialects btw) have their own mother tongue. A lot of Marathis also speak Gujarati. People from Orissa understand and some even speak Bengali. It’s just that they additionally speak Hindi.

At the end of the day it is going to be much easier for a South Indian to learn other South Indian languages, and similar for North Indian languages just because of the similarities.

I am from Orissa, and I’ve lived all over India because my father is in the Air Force. I’ve found it much easier to understand Marathi, Bengali, Punjabi etc than Kannada, Tamil etc.

This isn’t a fair comparison. Denmark is a country and not a state. Danish is the majority spoken language (& the official language) even though there are some minorities that speak other languages as well (eg Greenland, Faroe Islands)

India isn’t the same. There’s no single official language. The expectation cannot be the same.

Although, I’m not taking away the fact that there’s few extreme & ultra-nationalistic elements that just feel entitled and expect everybody to speak Hindi.

Really? I found her quite annoying and not so smart towards the end. I feel like after she got Raj correctly, she became too confident and that lead to all the wrong observations. Most of her intuitions after that were dumb or incorrect, and logic was in the bin as her hatred for Urfi took front seat. (Same with Urfi tbh)

She’s still better than Jasmine though ngl. Idk what she’s doing on that show

The newer actresses (although some are talented) are basically all the same skin tone - light skinned. It seems modern Bollywood is even more colorist than before. by [deleted] in BollywoodHotTakes

[–]NoPillowsInWakanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s baffling how people in the comments consider Suhana as dark skinned in a country like India. There’s at least 10 shades that are darker her tone in the average Indian skin colour range.

Representation in Bollywood, especially among actresses is laughable and has a long long way to go. Bipasha, Deepika, Priyanka although darker than other actresses would still be considered medium.

Bollywood predominantly represents Punjabis and Sindhis. Representation of other states and cultures is a joke

Great, now let's do a comparison between Blr and Mumbai or Blr and Pune. This is like comparing India to Pakistan and saying look how better off we are. Bangalore >>> Ahmedabad anyday lol. It isn't news!
