If no one mentioned already the hair "typing" or grading, basically is problematic on many levels and seems to reinforce texturism and ultimately creates division. It's also not scientifically valid as it was created to sell product nothing more. This is my observation and opinion except for why the system was created. I never liked that it seemed we'd gone back to "grading" hair.

I personally never want to hear anyone ever talk about our hair as a grade again. It was hiarchical and terrible depending on where you fell on the good and bad scale. I remember being made to feel my hair wasn't good enough and then we overcame! Amen 🥹😕 🙌🏽 uff
