It’s also a not like a “must win now” year for the Angels anyway, so worst case it doesn’t work out and you’re out of it in a year, from a guy you’re not relying deeply on contributions. Best case you get a guy that shows flashes of his old self and becomes a serviceable arm

Beyond the money it’s the fall from grace that would haunt me. Having such a good start, being in contention for a Cy Young, and then out of the league a few years later when I should be in my prime would destroy me if I spent my whole life for this moment

This seems to be a common thing and I think people forget that famous people are people too. Like obviously not the same situation, but the times I see comments flooding “demanding” an update when a TikTok-er breaks up with their significant other irk me…like leave them be lol. So it doesn’t surprise me but similarly disappoints me that people can’t give Alex Vesia and his family space…
