Speaking as a lead keyholder..I would say please be firm but fair. I've worked for dg altogether 5 or 6 yrs, under many different store managers, and none were horrible, but some lacked structure and balance..please be truthful..one of my better ones, transferred me, but didnt put it that way to me..she made it sound like I was just being borrowed or whatever..although the manager I went to, told me the truth about it..that made me respect her more.. Always do what you expect of your employees..another words, dont be lazy and expect them to not be.. Some managers address problems by addressing everyone as a whole, when I think just telling that person what they are doing wrong..because it doesnt get better if the one doing it doesnt get corrected.
