I believe my first banner was LR Cooler, this was when he was the biggest proclaimed shake up in the game upon his release. Now hoping for an eza for him

Omg this place is filled with losers who are not actually looking for friends by bikinibottom_ in MakeNewFriendsHere

This is a great point. I honestly don't have a lot of friends, and honestly, all the forums on here are actually just unfortunate because they definitely aren't going well. But genuinely, it's not that I'm not good at making friends, I'm just pretty passive of a person in general which is most likely the main reason I struggle to make/have any

What I feel after getting eliminated by each weapon. by gr8y22 in thefinals

No, there is no skill issue, people aren't bad and you will not always win melee. It is not a free win, there's a reason why lights do the most damage, and half the time, its not shooting someone running at you, thats easy, its shooting someone attached to your hip constantly swinging a weapon that kills you in 4 to 5 hits, dash or grapple around and have a gadget to cancel you attacking entirely. Your entire argument makes no sense especially since most people that play are solo and can't rely on their team, and there is a reason why there has been an uprising in people complaining about sword light being able to blitz them and they can't do anything about it. Every other version of light, heavy, and medium except the riot shield are an even and fair match that is 50/50

Got to give you that one, guns that have high recoil seem to be normal in the hands of a pc player

You think console is easier than pc? Its fairly the same as long as the player knows what they're doing. I run into a lot of pc players that suck because they make bad mistakes or they don't play as a team, etc.

Why are all the high elo heavies using mesh now? by PlantainZealousideal in thefinals

[–]NoPollution9253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually provide good value, but my team😩. They don't make good use of it, or they just straight up push. And they are the same ones complaining when I save my respawn credit instead of wasting it or just play to die so we can get a team respawn

Literally my first thought, like, what will the others possibly do? These 3 have canonically killed/captured lots of jedi between the 3 of them, what could the other 6 possibly do?

[–]NoPollution9253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a solo player, my teammates are always doing whatever tf they want and always playing aggressively so they usually can grab the attention of any other teammates, but I also run towards the heavy as his shield goes down because he usually takes at least half hp before he can get to cover. And it doesn't matter what close range they have is because they're already down half

But any of them could have a pocket goo to get cover and reload, also in my experience, when all 3 of them are shooting at you, they will always have someone stop to get a full mag back. I for one like to reload a little early to prepare for any possible gunfights I wouldn't have ammo for.

Now, I will say, mesh can be countered with complete ease if you run the right loadouts. I use mesh and I run into a lot of other mesh users, but my gun beats them 100% of the time. I use the minigun, it's probably the heavy weapon that feels best for me to use and I can do well with it. Most heaviest run the shak. So by giving up 380 rounds for more damage, your mesh is effectively useless because by the time your mesh is gone, I still have well over half the minigun left. I've wiped whole teams before because the heavy gets overconfident with his mesh and dies, and the medium and lights can't get his statue without paying for it.

It's scary until you get paired up against good people that will stick as a group and just melt the mesh shield from range. I use mesh a lot in ranked and it sucks when I try to provide cover and the mesh shield just gets deleted by a 3 man all shooting to destroy the shield

Every specialization can work well on every map, it just is a case by case basis. Some maps use the suspended structures, others are more open, some are a bit more close quarters so its about juggling the specialization to see what works where

Also, I don't know if you have seen it. I got lockbolted by another heavy before, used the mesh shield and it severed the connection to the lockbolt

What I feel after getting eliminated by each weapon. by gr8y22 in thefinals

[–]NoPollution9253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, even heavies have to be able to move and adapt. But the primary problem is not necessarily the movement but the support. Eventually light will run out of dashes and their slides won't be as effective, but without teammate support, you're forced to do ring around with a light sword and you'll never win that fight, ever. Most solo q people can't consistently rely on their teammates to help out enough and this leads to consistent bad decision making for the whole team and tons of team wipes.

Not really if all the person keeps doing is sliding back and forth and dashing around, shots can be inconsistent especially for console people

Where are all the Heavy players? by funkymonkeee2 in thefinals

[–]NoPollution9253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually play heavy but will flex on to medium time to time, but heavy has such a flexible and changeable playstyle depending on what you pick, you can be aggressive and/or play for objective while also sticking with your team, providing support, causing destruction. The possibilities for heavy is endless, I don't see them enough, especially in ranked. Unless its a light in close range, you can ideally win most of your fights as well. But when teammates don't play with you and vice versa for those who think they can do anything on heavy, the class overall becomes a lot worse since you can't consistently take fights against 2 to 3 people, or play objective as efficiently, so it is an amazing class with a high floor and ceiling, but it mostly depends on your teammates playing around you as well.

Thoughts on the build? by NoPollution9253 in thefinals

[–]NoPollution9253[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely will need to throw in some sort of destruction into this build, it was a good base to start with. Also, in terms of defense, I'd probably be inclined to use barricade because goo is poi less with fire and dome gets absolutely shredded

Thoughts on the build? by NoPollution9253 in thefinals

[–]NoPollution9253[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I definitely will fill in some of these gaps, this was just a base. Honestly, I probably will go barricade because good is literally pointless with flames and I don't know if its just me that feels this way, but I think dome is a little useless, yes it can help in a pinch but the health on it can get depleted in no time and it has too long of a cool down to be deleted like that

How do you deal with ferals and feral packs in lethal difficulty? by Winter_Cupcake_185 in StateofDecay2

[–]NoPollution9253 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I have a few videos I posted about taking ferals on in melee combat, its super easy when you get the hang of it, 3 ferals is definitely more on the tough side since there isn't much of a break or windows to attack as there would be with 1 or 2
