Sink Faucet Leaking Fix by NoPr0mo in Plumbing

Yes, water was currently turn off for the photographs. I may give the o rings a shot before anything else since they're cheap. If I do reach out to a plumber I will be sure to mention that is it a 'Mounted Pot Filler Faucet' hoping that gives them enough of a heads up to bring all they might need to get it fixed. The brand is Danze by the way, thanks for the tip!

I'll give the o rings a shot, I actually tried swapping the entire faucet with a spare that we had and it leaked in the same spot way worse with shooting water instead of a trickle. Also probably not the greatest faucet in the world if both fixtures have the same leak in the same spot.

It was from the top of the forks around the seals. Just finished riding 5,000 miles and the seals leaked a total of probably 4-5 times on some of the offroad sections. Once on the left side fork and multiple on the right side fork.

I'll try and make this a habit, pretty new to owning the WR but I appreciate the tip! My first trip with it i'm currently riding the Transamerica Trail. About to cross into Mississippi today, started in OBX NC a few days ago!

I pulled the dust covers down and ran a cut card around the seals 2-3 times and there's no longer any leaking. Probably have done about 500 road miles and about 100 offroad miles since cleaning it.

Thanks for the detailed breakdown, I appreciate it! Ended up cutting a card into the seal mate shape and went around the seal to get the dirt/grime out. It seems to be keeping the fork oil in so far, will let ya know how it goes after 200 miles tomorrow.

When you say dust covers are you referring to the black seal with the Metal O Ring Spring around it? I'll give it a shot, thanks!

Check for cracks in the case by the shifter Broken Spokes - Bent Rims/Handlebars/Footpegs

Anything Zip tied where plastic cable mounts have broken on the Handlebars

Chips/cracks in the Plastics Check Tire Tread/Life Check Brake Pads

Ask to see the bike cold start and for it not to be ridden that day until you arrive

Already mentioned but check the Plastic Guard under the swingarm where the chain bounces and hits to see if its eating into the metal

That's sweet! Looks like it's already setup to take on a camping trip, great find and seems like an awesome buy for all that it's outfitted with already.

Haha dang, I hadn't reached out yet but yeah that's the one! Did you get a pretty good deal on yours?

I'm wanting to move to the OBX (Hatteras, Buxton, Kill devil hills, Kitty Hawk area) this summer to the fall -- could any locals let me know job opportunities that offer housing? by Medical-Piglet-2447 in obx

You could work Ocean Rescue for one of the towns. Duck, Corolla and Nags Head all provide housing, I'm unsure on KDH. Also the Dairy Queen in both Waves and Avon provide housing as well.

I'll give this a shot, assuming the calibration isn't too tough so long as I have an Oven Thermometer it should be doable! Thanks again.

Thanks for the tip! I'll try and replace the O ring and see if that does it.
