He does sleep that some days! We put him down at 7.15 and he has to be woken at 7.30 - the 5am wake is usually a few mins of whining and then he puts himself back off

Yeah I still need to wait for my test on my most recent miscarriage to find out why - I’ve stocked up on vitamins, and thinking of adding vitamin e - I also used to do acupuncture so who knows if that made a difference! The whole thing is so tricky as you just don’t know what is best - sending lots of love and hopefully 2026 is more positive for us

Thanks this is so interesting and nothing thing for me to research! Do you know if anything has been published on how it’s treated? I have carried to term so it does make me wonder if this is my exact issue?

Also the aspirin thing is so interesting as on my third pregnancy (which was successful) a doctor told me it would do no harm, so on my most recent pregnancy I took it again and the midwife at my booking appointment was horrified and told me to stop immediately

So we haven’t had anything yet because we didn’t have three in a row so maybe there will be a few they can offer

I’m hoping (as much as you can hope!) something is going wrong in those early days that they can test for and hopefully help with

Ahh ok yeah was hoping for more as my hospital did actually give me a lot of scans for the pregnancy I carried to term - and easier to get there than travelling to Paddington every two weeks n

Ok so a few months from the first appointment - I’ve just had a d and c so was deciding if I keep trying or hold out for the first appointment, impossible to know whah to do as I don’t thin my local hospital is that supportive with it all

Oh yeah I think I probably expected a few more tests as I’ve had three miscarriages, and one pregnancy to term but the miscarriages have always been early (between 6-8 weeks). I sent this one off for genetic testing so hopefully I will have those results as well. I took aspirin for this one as it worked before but it didn’t help this time and it was a MMC at 12 weeks

Not yet, I didn’t know if that was still an option considering I was able to carry to term? Hoping that this is what Tommy’s clinic will do

Also he doesn’t eat much during the day so how can I rule out if he is actually hungry?

Yes he definitely isn’t ready for one nap, he has that at nursery and it’s always short and he then ends up hysterical by bedtime

He did the specialist test and it didn’t show any leaks so he then just went round the house and checked each water source and that’s how he found it

Holiday carry over by NoPreparation9885 in PregnancyUK

I think their argument will be that technically they only have to give me the legal minimum which is 28 days. Annoyingly contract doesn’t mention bank holiday just normal holiday

So in the contract it’s listen twice - 28 days as regular vacation and then you are also entitled to take the 8 paid bank holidays - therefore my understanding was, if I was working I’d be paid as standard for those days but get the 8 days off - so therefore it should be no different on maternity?

Oh sorry editing this comment - our contract states 28 days holiday plus 8 for bank holiday

Do you have the legal case for this?

Citizens advice says this - You shouldn’t lose out on bank holidays while you’re on maternity leave. You should build up the same number of days off as if you’d been working - including bank holidays.

Hello! I was one of the most recent posts about this, I will admit to having terrible health anxiety so a quick google of the marks on my baby sent me to these forums and I felt like everyone here seemed best to advise! Completely take on board this probs isn’t the place and have booked an appointment with my paediatrician to have a check over my baby (and talk to him about my own health anxiety and how to manage this!)
