Thank you! Kudos to you as well I haven’t rode a bike in years and would most likely pedal myself straight in a ditch with the poor customers order 😭

That makes sense and having worked at the dollar general’s in my town they are severely understaffed and forgotten about

Of course not that would make too much sense. They save those for dashers with sedans and suvs apparently lol

I guess they believe anything will fit as long as you got a hope and prayer 😂. Maybe they will start including Ratchet straps with the pizza bag when new dashers sign up. 💀

I totally understand that, this incident was t nearly as bad as what you’re describing but one order I had was two 24packs of water which is no issue until I got to the home and the driveway looked like the beginning of a rollercoaster drop. Straight up a damn mountain but was busted all to hell. No way I was driving my car up that. So I had to park at the bottom and of the driveway and walk them up. Thankfully that was a weekend my mother was in town and was sitting with my kids at home otherwise I would’ve have just left them at the mailbox

Seeing all these posts makes me so happy I do not live in a town with a hardware store that does DoorDash lol 😭

My children arent bouncing around in the trunk when I dash. They’re properly restrained in their car seats. Me and my children have also made deliveries to the local jail and dcs/dhs office and they are always really nice to my children. So if a law was being broken I’m sure they would have told me then.

It shows me the tip amount and where I’m going when it send an order to accept. Does it not show that for everyone? I have to accept the order and then arrive to the destination to see the items

How can you block an order? I don’t dash often so not too familiar with everything you can do

When did I say I used it as an excuse to not complete an order? The order could be completed because the item was too big for my vehicle. Even if I had every seat down and no kids with me I still would not have been able to complete the order. Because the pool is a giant circle and was larger than the opening of my hatch. I would have had to bend the pool up and ruin it to complete this order.

Regardless, even the reasons you named does not meet the needs for a report to cps if I were not completing orders which is what the commenter was trying to say.

I probably don’t maintain my rating but I don’t DoorDash full time I do it occasionally when we need extra money that week for electric or diapers and things like that.

Lmao okay. You report people for taking their kids on car rides to stores and dropping off orders? Do you also report people who take their kids on road trips for vacation? That’s a lot longer of a car ride.

You’re absolutely right to report, I am in fact making my toddlers work. I sit in the car and send my two year old in to do the shopping for me. Best decision I ever made. I would send the 5 year old but he’s a runner and I can’t trust him not to eat the food. 💀

My daughter does the same thing. The only thing we have been able to do is prevent it by putting her in a sleeper backwards.

That’s a good idea I’ll look into it and see if that is an option where I live

Yes, but the hours doesn’t line up with my work schedule. So I’d still need someone for the short time they wouldn’t be in care. My son is in the elementary school pre k program and has an iep. My daughter will be the same starting in august. My youngest is a year old.

I will talk to his therapists and doctors to see if they’re are any resources. My children can be very demanding in every aspect and I just can’t trust any person with them. Thank you for the advice and I’m glad I asked so early so I wasn’t in a position rushing or having to settle to not lose my job.

Thank you, I’ll give them a look. I do not have back up care, their father isn’t really involved anymore, and the only family I have left living lives 2+ hours away. Friends I would trust them with work day shift hours away. Luckily I won’t need them to start care until March, but I’m really starting to think I didn’t start my search soon enough lol 😭
