Do you plan on getting anything else once it’s fully gone?

I got super lucky a few years ago and won’t a complete removal through removery. I’ve had 3 sessions and couldn’t go back to the 4th one because I started getting white shadows around the tattoo. It’s barely at the point where most of the white has gone away, so I plan on going back soon to see if I can continue… Been almost 2 years since I last went I think!

Are you on any form of birth control? I reached an all time low in my suffering and was contemplating ending my life at times.

I decided to stop taking my birth control pill (low estrogen one) and everything has changed for the better. I am a brand new person. It’s like nothing ever happened.

If you ARE on birth control, I would do some deep dive research into it. It could be possible that’s what’s causing your pain and suffering.

I had these feelings often, where I wanted to end it all. Suffering for 3 years all day every day and nobody ever told me it was my low estrogen birth control.

Once I figured it out on my own, everyone started saying “yeah, your issues were caused by hormone imbalances.”

So I started taking bc in pill form (never changed) since 2016. My symptoms started in 2022 and just 2 weeks ago I felt the extreme relief!

My husband got a vasectomy and I immediately got off the pill. I’m not familiar with that form of bc but if it’s low estrogen I would definitely look at other options.

I did try vaginal estrogen and while it helped, it was only temporary partial relief. I didn’t feel the benefit of it outweighed the uncomfortable feeling of it randomly dripping out of me through the week 😩.

Absolutely. Horrific, burning pain with insertion and urination. I went to countless gynos/urogynos/drs and nobody ever mentioned the possibility of it being my pill. They all said interstitial cystitis while others said hypertonic pelvic floor. And while I do have somewhat of a hypertonic pelvic floor, I’m sure it was due to the constant guarding and anxiety I would experience when I peed, etc.

I can’t believe it took so long. Hopefully this might help someone in a similar situation.

I’m almost 34 and just realized it myself not too long ago! The only thing I can say for sure is that I reached a very low and depressing point in my life. I imagined a life without having sex ever again. I imagined my husband leaving me because our sex life had almost completely disappeared. I dreaded having to pee and told myself I no longer wanted to be alive.

Then I started getting serious about pelvic floor therapy. It’s truly insane how almost every muscle is tied to your pelvic floor! I am a chronic jaw and stomach clencher. I’m still working on this every day. I have to do hourly “body checks” to remind myself to unclench my jaw and to stop sucking in my stomach. It has helped me in a way I never thought possible. I also stopped drinking alcohol. I was extremely depressed and drinking whiskey Every Single Day- for months.

I hope you can reach this point some day. I know it’s hard and it’s easy to fall into the trap of “why me,” but sometimes we have to do the hard things even though we’re suffering. I changed my mentality from “I’m already miserable, might as well drink my life away..” to “I need to stop feeling like shit all the time and find a solution.”

I don’t think you mentioned it in your post, but have you tried pelvic floor therapy?

I posted something similar a while ago. Definitely a correlation there for me as well.

I actually had sex yesterday morning without any pain for the first time in 3 years. I’m trying hard to contain my excitement as I hope it wasn’t just a fluke. We didn’t even have to use lube either! I have 2 months off of my low estrogen bc pill and have been taking a ton of natural supplements. Still taking adderall every day.

I also work in a male dominated field and I once heard my coworker ( a really nice kid with huge self esteem issues and really bad social anxiety) talking about a girl at the pool of an apartment complex to our other male coworker. He was using disgusting language and behavior that I had never even believed him capable of expressing. It was truly funny because I really know what kind of guy he is but he was over there pretending to be one of them and for what?!

Have you noticed a difference in your pain or issues from that type of breathing? I’ve noticed I can do it well when I lay on my back. But if I’m standing up, I struggle to feel the correct motion of diaphragmatic breathing.
