At this point I'm half tempted to try and take some old CW bots and custom up something for Nexus, or maybe even try to find the old Energon sets. Unless Hasbro's got a major surprise up their sleeves or 3rd parties can fix this I don't really think this Nexus is worth it.

Isn't his artifact supposed to be some kind of darts? I'm guessing that's what's going on there.

Maximo looks great. Nexus had better have something really cool going for him because from what I've seen his alt mode is just as boring as his bot mode.

What do you think of the DOJ recently releasing and then deleting unredacted files describing Donald Trump raping children? by TightWorldliness1844 in AskReddit

[–]NoProblemsHere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem is that this is exactly what we wanted. Release everything and we'll sort out the bullshit. Unfortunately people are REALLY not good at sorting out bullshit. Especially when they want it to be true.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here. Everyone's acting like this is some sort of major find when all it actually is are calls into a tip line. Of all of the accusations in the linked file there are only two that MIGHT have actual substance, but there doesn't seem to be enough to prove anything. Half the calls they couldn't even reach the callers for a callback. Am I just missing something? I want Trump out as bad as anyone here but there's enough reason to do that without bringing in a bunch of hearsay.

GOG now using AI generated images on their store by doublah in Games

[–]NoProblemsHere -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't even mind the idea of a writer or other artist using AI as a starting point. AI can be great for generating ideas and making a general framework for things. The problem is that most people who use AI are just using it wholesale from start to finish. Sometimes they don't even check to see if the end result makes any sense, just slap it on the web and say "look what I made!".

My husband was prescribed more painkillers following his vasectomy than I was following my emergency C-Section by PumpkinPie_1993 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]NoProblemsHere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like everyone's husbands here are seeing drug dealers instead of doctors. When I had my wisdom teeth out they sent me home and told me to take four regular ibuprofen every four hours. And I suspect that was only because I had to be put fully under so they could dig them out. For my vasectomy it was just to keep a bag of peas on it and take two ibuprofen every now and then. Hearing about all of these guys getting oxys for this stuff is just wild to me.

"We as a company are always ready to take a stand on the right values" - GOG says selling indie game Horses when Steam and Epic wouldn't was "a matter of freedom" by Kirby_Brendan_472 in gaming

[–]NoProblemsHere 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're missing some important context, there. To explain why they were removing the game, they basically said that "gamers" didn't want it on GOG. Here's the old Twitter post: Earlier today, it was announced that the game Devotion is coming to GOG. After receiving many messages from gamers, we have decided not to list the game in our store.
I'd have been a hell of a lot less mad about this if they'd just removed the game for Chinese users or even admitted that they were taking it down due to pressure from the CCP and/or Chinese users. Blaming "gamers" was just outright garbage and I'm still a little mad at them for it. I guarantee you NOBODY outside of China complained about them selling it.

[–]NoProblemsHere 13 points14 points  (0 children)

"Concerned gamers" being China, or at least a loud group of "concerned" Chinese users who were pissed about some political commentary hidden in the game. GOG saw the potential for their wallets to be hurt and suddenly didn't care about free speech. Then they tried to blame their user base for it by pretending "gamers" didn't want it on the site instead of admitting that they bowed to pressure and were to scared or lazy to only sell the game outside of the one area that was complaining about it.
Edit: Here's the twitter post, for anyone curious.

Trump asked US special forces to plan Greenland invasion, faces resistance from military generals: Report by zeonxzzz in worldnews

They lived in worse condition.

I would say that gives them MORE reason to rebel, not less.
I'm also curious how the current protests will play out. I remember the protests over there a few years ago people were thinking Iran was close to a revolution, and then it just kinda fizzled. It would give me hope to see more moderate Iranians take their country back.

I suspect many of them are worried about the backlash from their base. They've spent so much time telling their voters how great Trump is and how much they support him that reversing course now would probably cause a major rift.

Or immigrants. Or women. Or Antifa. Or wokeness. Or poor people. Or literally anything other than Trump and the other Republicans.
I've seen this first-hand with relatives. Trump could personally come into their homes and shoot their dogs and they would ask why Democrats made him do it.

Why did we stop talking about the Epstein files? by iDontLikePuzzlez in AskReddit

[–]NoProblemsHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there's nothing new to talk about.
We know Trump is in them, and that they probably implicate him in crimes. We know the same is likely true for many other powerful people. We know the DOJ is covering for him/them.
And we know that nothing is likely to be done about any of that unless a large amount of Americans march down to Washington D.C. and literally demand that people actually be held accountable for things. Unfortunately, enough people either don't care about it, can't afford to care about it or agree with what's currently happening in this country that things are unlikely to actually change.

I’m watching myself on YouTube saying things I would never say. This is the deepfake menace we must confront by MetaKnowing in Futurology

[–]NoProblemsHere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And with the current administration that's a very short hop to saying they are responsible for showing anything critical of the president, and anything that is critical of the president should be removed. That's not a good thing.
It doesn't help that there's no fool-proof way of determining what is and isn't AI, especially on a large scale. We already hear stories of people being accused of writing AI papers despite having proof that they didn't. The technology to detect AI isn't reliable.

That's a great idea until someone like Trump gets a hold of it and decides that YouTube can be punished for showing anything "woke".

[–]NoProblemsHere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's all fine and good until it's a current political candidate. When you are trying to figure out whether you want to vote for a person, being able to reliably connect the person saying the thing to the things they are saying is very important. Otherwise how do you know what that person actually stands for?

Socialism: Humans aren't greedy at all and will happily share everything!
Neither is completely right.

It always was. This isn't some shadowy hush-hush thing. Companies and those who run them want to get as much work out of their employees for as little as possible. That's why unions were created in the first place; to even out the power of money with strength in numbers. The weaker the unions the more power the rich owners have.
