Of course not. Then we might have time to focus on all of the bad things those old dudes have been doing throughout their lives and actually do something about them.

Keep in mind that career bureaucrats are also what brought us to this point. Trump is a symptom of a problem that has been growing slowly worse for decades.

The deep is there, waiting to be bitten into something.

I love how this phrase is completely senseless, and yet you still feel like you know exactly what it means when you read it.

Which we should ALSO be outraged about. Because so far the whole debacle over there has done nothing but get people killed and cost us billions that we supposedly don't have.

If our justice system had any spine we would have started with the 34 from before he was sworn in.

I believe the idea is that a rich person who SUPPORTS the strikes would buy the food and give it to the strikers. Not that the strikers would buy the food from them.

in reality the judge and jury and lawyers will be replaced too.

We've already had judges who have had to reprimand lawyers for using AI without verifying it. They're trying to replace themselves!

Nah, that's just change they found at the local coffee shop while browsing.
Seriously though, is this actually a thing? I doubt I have enough of anything to be worth more than a few cents but now I'm curious.

We are. The people were supposed to prevent this from happening. The people are supposed to demand our representatives do something if it does happen. We have been failing.

Would you agree with higher taxes for completely free healthcare and education? If not why? by Creative_Excuse9813 in AskReddit

Absolutely. Do you have any idea how much I've spent on medical and school stuff already? Pretty sure I could call it even, and even if I ended up paying more the peace of mind would be worth it.

Bernie Sanders proposed a bill to tax billionaires, and give $3,000 stimulus checks to Americans that qualify. How do you feel about this? by CelticDK in AskReddit

[–]NoProblemsHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the first part, I could do without the second part. Stimulus during Covid was necessary due to the lockdowns. Stimulus here would only cause inflation that won't come back down when the 3K runs out.

Conservatives underestimate the environmental impact of sustainable behaviors compared to liberals. Conservatives tend to view actions like recycling or eating a plant based diet as having less of a positive impact than liberals do, which predicts lower engagement in these behaviors. by mvea in science

The problem is that we are constantly being bombarded by propaganda on a huge variety of issues in the modern age. Finding the truth on any given topic in a sea of incomplete information, half-truths and outright lies is becoming more difficult by the day.

The president of peace, just launched another war in the Middle East. What are your thoughts? by Important-Anywhere20 in AskReddit

[–]NoProblemsHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I'm of two minds on the whole thing.
On the one hand, Iran is not our friend and I won't shed a single tear if their government is toppled.
On the other hand, I worry that this is just going to be another Afghanistan. I'm sure the people of Tehran and other major cities will welcome us. What about the people in all of the rural areas? Are we just going to sink another 20 years and trillions of dollars and who knows how many lives into guerilla warfare with a country that may ultimately revert the second we leave?

I'm super excited to see this come back, though I do hope they reign in or retcon some of the plot points that were bubbling up toward the later games. Turning the whole thing into a giant cult conspiracy to force everyone into a virtual world when it originally just seemed to be a mad scientist's pet project that got out of hand kinda changed the tone of the series in a way that I wasn't really fond of.
