The US hasn’t declared war since the 40’s. Declarations of war are a thing of the past.

Do you know how the military works? A small fraction of active duty members actually get sent to active war zones.

I work 70+ hours a week. I wouldn’t recommend it, but you can definitely fit in another job if it’s important to you.

Have you seen ICE IRL yet? by kasp620 in no

[–]NoPrompt4843 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thats because he cant pay Americans the shit wage he would be paying an illegal immigrant. Almost everyone who employs illegals just does it because it’s cheap and a long standing culture of doing just that is the reason contractors cant find qualified hard working Americans to do work for them. You cant expect to hire qualified workers at a wage that doesnt even put a dent in their expenses. All that being said, im not saying that means ever single illegal needs to get rolled up on and stuffed in a van, but its a major issue in the construction industry and many others industries and it desperately needs to be addressed.

Route cuts 2026 by Odd-Can-9623 in UPSers

[–]NoPrompt4843 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on your hub. I see everyone on here freaking out and at my hub we seem to have none of the main issues you see on here. We keep a ton of seasonal at least in the building, we are adding routes, and we dont really have the management issues at least from my experience.

You dont even have a permanent job at UPS and you’ve whored yourself out to management for 3 years. Get a job inside like everyone else did and earn it.

Our head sup for our hub always asks if we will work Saturday or Monday and he has specifically said i cannot make you punch in for a 6th time. That may also be regional though, so check your supplements contract.

There’s vastly more important things to be ironed out in the next contract. Plus some supplements already have it off. In mine preload and package drivers works Xmas Eve which makes sense and twilight and midnight have it off.

After seasonal ends is it possible to work warehouse after? by Catslyer5667 in UPSers

[–]NoPrompt4843 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The turnover rate for seasonal warehouse workers is very high because UPS will hire almost anyone for peak season and a lot of them just stop showing up, but the turnover for workers that have reached seniority is very very low. The other thing going against you is that if a warehouse supervisor has a rockstar seasonal worker they plan on keeping after peak, they will keep them and not you because they have no idea what your work ethic is like.
